Proof of unseen God

Palodhi Science is affirming more and more the evidences of SUPRALIMINAL INTELLIGENCE behind manifest creation especially when every probe on inner dimensions of nature finally unfolds the ultra-structural facets (be it in Atom or in a living Cell) designed for definite subjective and objective purposes. These are the proofs of existing programs of the unseen Creator, which surely not without significance our founding fathers of science have reckoned as the Gods Book of nature (Galileo called it Liber Mundi). As we turn to religion, more focally there are Gods Books to guide us towards the pre-mental truths of creation and purpose behind the existence of mankind. Every civilization has Holy Writs at its bottom lasting impact and enduring vitality of which surpasses the limits of human brilliance and their ephemeral laureateships. Without the Universal nature of its inner principles religion could not have prevailed as the phenomenal reality of human life-culture. No external reality could prevail abidingly unless there is restored life giving vitality of esoteric principles. This fact is also conceived from the analogy of physical realities (e.g. air, water, earth etc) where external forms obscure the pre-mentally existing basic atomic and sub-atomic principles perception of which demands a truly capacitated human enquiry. I. SIGNS OF DIVINE CONTROL: The unique features that had made the Earth habitable for life are the proofs of supraliminal Divine control (Arabic: Istawa) rather than mere chance or accidental happenings: In unfathomable and ever expanding universe, especially in our own Solar System most abundant are the six elements (H, O, C, N, S and P); and these we find as the essential elements for making up body i.e. receptacle to sustain life. The sun has a surface temperature of 12000 C and our earth is just far enough away to receive the right temperature for life to grow. The earth rotates on its axis at 1600 km an hour. This is just enough speed for right length of day and night time, otherwise long day or long night would burn up our vegetables or freeze the surviving sprouts. The slant of the earth, tilted at an angle of 23.5 degrees is giving us the seasons. If it had not been so tilted, vapors from the ocean would move north and south, pilling up the contents of ice. Unlike any other known planets, we find our earth enveloped by atmosphere for growth and sustenance of life forms. In earths atmosphere, the vital gas oxygen makes up about a fifth of it. About 330 parts per million carbon dioxide and appropriate allowance of solar radiations enable plants to produce basic food ingredients for all living creatures. Ozone layer of the stratosphere acts as filter to absorb much of the potentially dangerous ultraviolet radiation from sunlight. In ionosphere gases are ionized, thus it can reflect some radio waves and make possible our long-range broadcasting. Charged particles approaching the earth from all directions are mostly deflected by the earths magnetic field into zones of radiation called Van Allen belts. Remarkable properties of water indicate how earth is specially groomed for sustenance of life. Water is the perfect solvent with bipolarity for many substances within organisms and enters directly into the molecular structures of other essential compounds. Two bodies of water, salty and sweet, meet together yet keep separated. Its power of absorbing vast quantities of oxygen at low temperature, its maximum density at 4 C above freezing whereby lakes and rivers remain in liquid, the lesser density of ice than water so that it remains on the surface, and the power of releasing great quantities of heat as it freezes preserve life in oceans lakes and rivers in all seasons. II. UNIVERSAL MESSAGE OF GOD: HAS CONTINUITY FROM PROPHETIC TO NON-PROPHETIC TRADITIONS Decrees from God arrive by way of repeated plantings of religions seed in the capacitated human receptacles (Prophets). Revealed messages are transpired epigrammatically to the Prophets. Apparently

it concerns but only one chosen section of humanity because of the segmentation of humankind and the mental incompatibilities resulting from it. Received Wisdom in partial humanity tacitly proceeds through major (solar) and minor (lunar) Prophetic missions to imbue the total humanity with the root ideas of truths at the helm of its existence. Thus God blesses mankind with the spiritual lights through solar and lunar Prophets as He bestows the physical lights via sun and moon.
Which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. (Bible: Acts, 3: 21)

Based upon criteria of Revealed Message (in bold letters) in Prophetic religions i.e. Quran, NT, Zoroastrian Gatha, and OT, -- we can trace out the Universal ways of revealed principles in nonProphetic traditions (in small letters) encompassing Tao-Te-Ching, Confucius, Chuang Tzu and Shinto, extant recensions of the Gita, within among Vedic and Puranic mythopoeia, some Isvara centric Upanishad texts, Tribal religions. to more antique Todtenbuch of Egyptian pyramids and mish-mashed remains in the excavated Babylonian tablets.

i. The Almighty God Quran: Say, He is God, the One! God, the eternally besought of all! He neither begets nor was begotten. And there is none comparable unto Him. (112: 1-4); Verily unto us belong the End and the Beginning. Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely. None shall burn therein but those most unfortunate ones - who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. But those increase in selfpurification, and have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, but only desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most high; and soon will they attain complete satisfaction. (Q, 92: 13). God! There is no God but Him, the Living, the Everlasting. Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who is there who shall intercede with Him save by His leave? He knows what lies before them and what is after them, and they comprehend not anything of His knowledge save such as He wills. His throne comprises the heavens and the earth; the preserving of them oppresses Him not; He is the All-high, the All-glorious. (2: 255) All that is on the earth will perish: But will abide forever the face of thy Lord full of Majesty, Bounty and Honor. (55: 26-27) Judaism and Christianity: For I am God and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose, calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of My counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it (Isaiah 46.911). God is not far from each one of us, for In Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17.27-28). Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come.(Revelation 4.8) Zoroastrianism: The Wise One is the most mindful of His plans, which, indeed were wrought in the past, by demons and by men; And which will be wrought hereafter! He, the Lord, is the sole decider, so may it be unto us as He wills! (Avesta, Yasna 29.4). Then did I recognize Thee in mind, to be the first and the last, O Lord. (Yasna 31.8) Taoism: The sage clasps The Primal Unity, testing by it everything under heaven. (Tao Te Ching 22). The master said, Is Goodness indeed so far away? If we really wanted Goodness, we should find that it was at our very side. (Confucianism. Analects 7.29) Shinto: Divinity is that which was there before the appearance of heaven and earth, and which gives form to them; that which surpasses the yin and yang, yet has the quality of them. This divinity is thus the absolute

existence, governing the entire universe of heaven and earth, yet at the same time, it dwells within all things, where it is called spirits; omnipresent within human beings, it is called mind. (Kanetomo Yoshida, An outline of Shinto) Hinduism: He is the One God, hidden in all things, all-pervading, the Self within all beings, watching over all works, dwelling in all beings, the witness, the perceiver, the only One, free from qualities. (Svetasvatara Upanishad.6.11); Beyond the senses is mind, beyond the mind is the intellect, higher than the intellect is the Great Atman, Higher than the Great Atman is the Unmanifest. Beyond the Unmanifest is the Person (Purusa), all-pervading, and imperceptible. (Katha Upanishad 2.3.7-8) Sikhism: In primal time, in all time, was the Creator: Nothing is real but the Eternal. Nothing shall last but the Eternal. (Adi Granth, Japuji 1, M.1). He is the sole Supreme Being; of eternal manifestation; Creator, Immanent reality; without fear, without rancor; Timeless Form; Unincarnated; Self existent; Realized by the grace of the Holy Preceptor. (Adi Granth, Japuji, p1: The Mul Mantra); Ever is He present with you think not He is far. (Adi Granth, Maj Ashtpadi, M.3) Tribal Religions: Karen tribes of Burmese land (who adhered to older religion defying conversion to Buddhism): Y'wa created the world in the beginning! Y'wa appointed everything. Y'wa is unsearchable! "Y'wa formed the world originally. He appointed food and drink. He appointed the "fruit of trial. He gave detailed order. Mu-kaw-lee deceived two persons. He caused them to eat the fruit of the tree of trial. They obeyed not; they believed not Y'wa ... When they ate the fruit of trial, they became subject to sickness, aging, and death ..." Anuak Prayer (Sudan): O God, you are great, you are the One who created me. Dinka song (Sudan): Great Deng is near, and some say far, O Divinity! The Creator is near, and some say He has not reached us! Egyptian: The Book of Dead or Todtenbuch: The Papyrus of Ani: "A Hymn To Amen-Ra ... president of all the gods ... Lord of the heavens ... Lord of Truth ... maker of men; creator of beasts ... Ra, whose word is truth, the Governor of the world, the mighty one of velour, the chiefs who made the world as he made himself. His forms are more numerous than those of any god ... Adoration be to thee, O Maker of the Gods, who hast stretched out the heavens and founded the earth! ... Lord of eternity, maker of the everlastingness ... creator of light The Lord of heaven, the king of righteousness, the Lord of eternity etc. The Papyrus of Prisse: God says I am the unseen One who created heavens and all things. I am the Supreme God, made manifested by myself, and without equal. Long before Moses we find among liturgies of Egypt: One God without equal: Nuk pu NukI am who I am (just like Exodus 3:14). The God of the world is in the light above the firmament/ His emblems are upon earth; it is to them that worship is rendered daily/Praise to be God for all His gifts/God loveth obedient, and hateth the disobedient etc. Mesopotamia: A temple of EA has been found at Ur where in Cuneiform clay tablets we find: EA creates man in his Eridu fruit-tree garden In the different myths we find EA as: creator (ban kullat=creator of everything); God of wisdom (bel uzni=lord of wisdom); a supreme master of magic (mash-mash ilani = incantation specialist of the gods); the protector of craftsmen and artisans, water god etc. Chaldn version of Noah (Pir-napishtim) was himself a worshipper of AE or EA, who related to Gilgamesh about the flood and its reason being the wickedness of man. On the other hand, EL although the most venerable deity, He was never active in the myths.

ii. Signs of Gods existence Quran: We shall show then Our signs on the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth (41:53); No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision; He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things. (6: 103) He splits the sky in to dawn, and has made the night for a repose, and the sun and the moon for a reckoning. That is the ordaining of the Almighty, the All-knowing. It is He who has appointed for you the stars, that by them you might be guided in the shadows of land and sea. We have distinguished the signs for a people who know. It is He who produced you from one living soul, and then a lodging place, and then a repository. We have distinguished the signs for a people who understand. It is He who sent down out of heaven water. And thereby We have brought forth the shoot of every plant. And then We have brought forth the green leaf of it, bringing forth from it close compounded grain, and out of the palm tree, from the spathe of it, dates thick-clustered, ready to the hand, and gardens of vines, olives, pomegranates, like each to each, and each unlike to each. Look upon their fruits when they fructify and ripen! Surely, in all these are signs for a people who do believe. (6:96-99) Judaism and Christianity: For what can be known about God is plain to all, because God has showed it to them. Ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature, namely, His eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. (Romans 1.1920); The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims His handiwork. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, neither is there voice heard; yet their voice goes out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. (Psalm 19.1-4) Zoroastrianism: The deeds which I shall do and those which I have done here now, and the things which are precious to the eye, through Good Mind, The light of the sun, the sparkling dawn of the days, All this is for your praise, O Wise Lord, as righteousness! (Avesta, Yasna 50.10) Taoism: Tao gave them birth; the power of Tao reared them, shaped them according to their kinds, perfected them, giving to each it strength. Therefore of the ten thousand things there is not one that does not worship Tao and do homage to its power., so you must rear them, but do not lay claim to them; control them, but never lean upon them. Be their steward, but do not manage them. This is called Mysterious power. (Tao Te Ching 51) Confucianism (Doctrine of the Mean 12): The hawk soars to the heaven above; Fishes dive to the depths below. That is to say, there is no place in the highest heavens above or in the deepest waters below where the moral law is not to be found. Shinto: Divinity is the root origin of heaven and earth, the spiritual nature of all things, and the source of human destiny. Itself without form, it is Divinity which nurtures things with forms. (Kanetomo Yoshida) Hinduism: Thou art the fire; Thou art the sun; Thou art the air; Thou art the moon; Thou art the starry firmament; Thou art the Brahman Supreme; Thou art the waters Thou, the Creator of all.Thou art the dark butterfly, Thou art the green parrot with red eyes, Thou art the thunder cloud, the seasons, the seas. Without beginning art Thou, beyond time and space. Thou art He from whom sprang the three worlds. (Svetasvatara Upanishad 4.2-4) The eye cannot see Him, nor words reveal Him; by the senses, austerity, or works He is not known. When the mind is cleansed by the grace of wisdom, he is seen by contemplation the One without parts. (Mundaka Upanishad 3.1.8)

Sikhism: Infinitely the creation receives from Him sustenance. He is the Ordainer; by His Ordinance the Universe He runs, says Nanak, ever is He in bliss, ever fulfilled. (Adi Granth, Japuji 3, M.1) African Traditional Religions: (Pygmy Hymn, Zaire): In the beginning was God, Today is God, Tomorrow will be God. Who can make an image of God? He has no body. He is as word which comes out of your mouth. That word! It is no more, it is past, and still it lives! So is God.

iii. Unequalled glorification of the Almighty God Quran: Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, The Beneficent, the Merciful, Owner of the Day of Judgment, Thee alone we worship; Thee alone we ask for help. Show us the straight path: the path of those whom thou hast favored; not of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. (1: The Fatihah) Judaism and Christianity: Glorified and Sanctified be Gods name throughout the world which He has created according to His will. Daily Prayer Book (The Kaddish) There is One God, The Father, from Whom are all things and for Whom we exist. (1 Corinthians 8.6) Zoroastrianism: Do I pray with obeisance, with up stretched hands for this support: First O Lord, that I perform all deeds with Right, of the beneficent Spirit, with wisdom of Good Thought, So I may serve the Soul of the Creation. (Yasna 28.1) Hinduism: Aum (The One Supreme God); Bhur Bhuvah (Who is Lord of this world and the worlds beyond); Svah (Who exists/controls by His own omnipotence; Tat Savitur Verenyam (of that Noor i.e. Luminous Essence we make the choice to worship; Bargo Devasya Dhimahi (of that God we do the meditation in our mind); Dhiyo You Nah Prachodayat (May He impel us towards the noble thoughts and deeds). (The Gayatri Mantra) Sikhism: He is the Sole Supreme Being; of eternal manifestation; Creator, Immanent Reality; without fear without rancor; Timeless Form; Unincarnated; Self Existent; Realized by the grace of the holy Preceptor. Adi Granth, Japuji, p.1 (Mul Mantra) African Traditional Religions: Nuer Prayer (Sudan): Our Father, it is Thy universe, it is Thy will, Let us be at peace, let souls of the people be cool. Thou art our Father; remove all evils from our path.

iv. Succession of Revelations, Prophets, and the Scriptures Quran: Perfected is the word of thy Lord in truth and justice. There is naught that can change His words. He is the Hearer, the knower. If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead thee far from Gods way, they follow naught but an opinion, and they do but guess. (6: 116-117); He who obeys the messenger, obeys God (4: 80) Verily We have raised in every nation a messenger, proclaiming: serve God and shun false gods (16: 36); We sent not a messenger except to teach in the language of his own people, in order to make things clear to them. (14: 4); It is not possible for any human being unto whom God had given the scripture and wisdom and the prophet-hood that he should afterwards have said unto mankind: Be slaves of me instead of God; on the contrary what he said was: Be ye worshippers of the Lord Who is truly the Cherisher of all by virtue of your constant teaching of the scripture and of your constant study thereof. (3: 79)

Then We gave the Scripture as inheritance unto those whom We elected of Our bondmen. But of them are some who wrong themselves and of them are some who are lukewarm, and of them are some who outstrip others through good deeds, by Gods grace; that is the great favor. (35: 32); Naught is said unto you (Muhammad) -- save what was said unto the messengers before you. (41: 43) There is among them a section, who distorts the scripture with their tongues that you may think that what they say is from the scripture, when it is not from the scripture. And they say it is from God, when it is not from God; and they speak a lie concerning God knowingly.(3: 78) Judaism and Christianity: God, who at sundry times and in divine manners spake in the time past unto the fathers by the prophets Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. (Hebrews 1. 1-3) Think not that I have come to abolish the Law and the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. (Matthew 5. 17-18) Taoism: Rites are something created by the vulgar men of the world; the Truth is that which is received from Heaven, by nature it is the way it is and cannot be changed. (Chuang Tzu 31) The Master said, I have transmitted what was taught to me without making up anything of my own, I have been faithful to and loved the Ancients. (Confucianism; Analects 7.1) Hinduism: I told this eternal secret to Vivasvat. Vivasvat taught to Manu and Manu taught Ikshvaku. Thus, Arjuna eminent sages received knowledge of yoga in a continuous tradition. But through time the practice of yoga was lost in the world. The secret of these teachings is profound. (Bhagavad-Gita 4. 1-3); Through Vyasas grace, I have heard the supreme secret of spiritual union directly from the Lord of Yoga, Krishna himself. (Bhagavad-Gita 18.75) Sikhism: The whole world seeks to attain the transcendent state without the true Preceptors aid it is not attained. Exhausted with learning, pundits and astrologers fall into sects and are lost in delusion. The transcendent state is attained only on meeting the Preceptor, should he of his will show grace. Brother! Except through the Preceptor the transcendent state may not arise. (Adi Granth, Sri Raga, M.3) African Traditional Religion: (Dinka Prayer, Sudan): O Lord, your power is greater than all powers. Under your leadership we cannot fear anything. It is you who has given us prophetic power, and has enabled us to foresee and interpret everything. (Shona Prayer, Zimbabwe): Great Spirit! Piler-up of rocks into towering mountainsWaters of the pool that turn into misty rain when stirred. Caller-forth of the branching trees : You bring forth the shoots that they stand erect. You have filled the land with mankindWe pray to You; hear us, Lord!

v. Coming of Messiah in the final Hour Quran: And Jesus shall be a sign of the Hour (of Judgment); therefore have no doubt about it, but follow Me: this is a straight Way. (43:61) In Hadith of Abu Dawud, Prophet Muhammad said: Were there remaining but one day of the duration of all time, God would send forth a man from people of my house, who will fill the earth with equity as it has been filled with oppression. Judaism and Christianity:

I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there come one like a son of man. He came to the ancient of days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and kingdom that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away. (Daniel, 7: 13-14) Surely I am coming soon. Amen. Come, lord Jesus (Rev, 22:20) Zoroastrianism: He shall be victorious Benefactor (Saoshyant) by name. And world-renovator (Astavat-ereta) by name.He will oppose the evil of the progeny of the biped and withstand the enmity produced by the faithful. (Avesta, Farvardin Yasht, 13:129) Taoism: If a Kingly man were to arise, within a single generation Goodness would prevail. (Confucianism: Analects, 13,12) Hinduism: Vishnu Purana mentions about Kalki Avatar (4. 24): He will then re-establish righteousness upon earth; and the minds of those who live at the end of Kali age shall be awakened, and shall be as pellucid as crystal. The men who are thus charged by virtue of that peculiar time shall be as the seeds of human beings, and shall give birth to a race who shall follow the laws of Krita age, the age of purity. As it is said, when the sun and the moon, and the lunar asterism Tishya, and the planet Jupiter, are in one mansion, the Krita age shall return.

vi. Believer and disbeliever; and polarities of good and evil Quran: and the believers believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you (4:162). God will not leave the believers in the state in which you are now, until He separates what is evil from what is good. (3: 179) Likewise We have appointed unto every prophet an adversary devils of mankind and jinn who inspire in one another plausible discourse through guile. If thy Lord willed, they would not do so; so leave them alone with their devising. That the heart of those who believe not in the Hereafter may incline thereto, and that that they may take pleasure therein. And that they may earn what they are earning. (6: 112-113). The unbelievers.are like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billow topped by billow, topped by dark clouds: depths of darkness, one above another: if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it! For any to whom God giveth not light, there is no light. (24:40). They think to beguile God and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they perceive not. In their hearts is a disease, and God increaseth their disease. A painful doom is theirs because they lie. (2: 9-10) Man prays for evil as he prays for good; man is ever hasty. (17: 11) Surely God wrongs not men anything, but men wrong themselves. (10: 44) Judaism and Christianity: Although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! (Romans 1.21-25) But understand this that in the last days there will come times of stress. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure than lovers of God, holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. (2 Timothy 3.1-5)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so; but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. (Psalm 1) Zoroastrianism: Now, these two primeval Spirits (Manyus) who are known as skilful twins, they both in thought and in word and indeed are one wise and the other evil; and out of these two, indeed, the spiritually wise chose aright discernibly, not the evil one. When these equally placed opposites (Manyus) met together (in a hostile manner) in the beginning, SAT (Truth that shall exist) and ASAT (Falsehood that shall not exist) were formed (Gatha Ahunavaiti, Yasna 30: 3-4) Ahura Mazda (wise Lord) has ordained: One going to good path and the other going to the evil way; and so there is long enduring harm for the perverse minded; but there is strength for the righteous, so that there shall be final emancipation (eternal bliss) through these right modes. (Gatha Ahunavaiti, Yasna 30:11) Hinduism: The Lord supports this universe, which is made up of the perishable and imperishable, the manifest and the unmanifest. The individual soul forgetful of the Lord attaches itself to the pleasure and thus is bound. (Svetasvatara Upanishad 1.6-8). The demonic do things they should avoid and avoid the things they should do. Hence they have no purity, uprightness or truth. There is no God, they say, no truth, no spiritual law, no moral order. The basis of life is brought forth by mutual union of male and female; what else can it be? Holding such distorted views, possessing scant discrimination, they become enemies of the world, causing suffering and destruction. (Bhagavat-Gita 16.7-9); There are two orders of creation: one divine, and the other demonic. (Bhagavat-Gita 16.6) Sikhism: Alas, all my efforts have come to nothing! I have not lessened my pride; I have not cast down my vanity: My mind is still the slave of evil impulses! Nanak prays, O Lord, save, save! (Adi Granth, Shalok, M.9) Taoism: He who does not clearly understand Heaven will not be pure in virtue. He who has not mastered the Way will find himself without any acceptable path of approach. He who does not understand the Way is pitiable indeed! (Chuang Tzu 11); When men get together to pit their strength in games of skill, they start off in a light and friendly mood, but usually end up in a dark and angry one, and if they go too long they start resorting to various underhanded tricks. When men meet at some ceremony to drink, they start off in an orderly manner, but usually end up in disorder, and if they go on too long they start indulging in various irregular amusements. It is the same with all things. What starts out being sincere usually ends up being deceitful. What was simple in the beginning acquires monstrous proportions in the end. (Chuang Tzu 4) Native American Religions: (Mohawk Tradition): Every person has both a bad heart and a good heart. No matter how good a man seems, he has some evil. No matter how bad a man seems, there is some good about him. No man is perfect.

Human choice for path of conduct and individual responsibility Quran: that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct (11: 7) Verily We created man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to test him: so We make him hearing, knowing. We showed him the way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful. (76: 2-3) God asks nothing of any soul save that which He has given it. (65: 7). God changes not what is in a person, until they change what is in themselves. (13: 11)

Be mindful of Me, and I will be mindful of you. (2: 152) Every soul draws the meed of its acts on none but itself: no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. Your return in the end is towards God: He will tell you the truth of the things wherein ye disputed. (7: 164) The good deed and the evil deed are not alike. Repel the evil deed with one which is better. (41: 34) And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort; and that his effort will be seen. (53: 39-40) Judaism and Christianity: Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. (James 4.7-8) If a man sanctifies a little, he becomes much sanctified; if he sanctifies himself below, he becomes sanctified from above; if he sanctified himself in this world, he becomes sanctified in the world to come. (Talmud, Yoma 39a) Hinduism: Single is each being born; single it dies; single it enjoys the reward of its virtue; single it suffers the punishment of its sin. (Laws of Manu 4:240) All undertakings in this world depend both on the ordering of faith and on human exertion; but among these two the ways of fate are unfathomable; in the case of mans work action is possible. (7:205) Different is the good and different is the dear, they both, having different aims, fetter you men; he who chooses for himself the good, comes to well being, he who chooses the dear, loses the goal. The good and dear approach the man; the wise man, pondering over both, distinguishes them; the wise one chooses the good from the dear; the fool, acquisitive and conserving chooses the dear. (Katha Upanishad. 1.2.1-5) Remembering me, you shall overcome all difficulties through my grace. But if you will not head me in your self-will, nothing will avail you. (Bhagavat Gita 18.58) Sikhism: Realization of the Holy Word is granted to those who place themselves under Gods shelter.(Adi Granth. Wadhans Chhant, M.5, p. 571); Why put out of mind the Lord, master of life and death? By ones own hands is ones affairs set straight. (Adi Granth. Asa-ki-Var, M.1, pp. 473-74) Taoism: (Tao Te Ching 23): He who conforms to the Way is gladly accepted by the Way; he who conforms to the virtue is gladly accepted by virtue; he who conforms to loss is gladly accepted by loss. African Traditional Religion: Igbo Proverb (Nigeria): God gives each person a hook with which to pluck his fruit. If you say yes, your God will say yes.

viii. Manifestations of Spiritual Ignorance Quran: Invent not similitudes for God; for God knows, and you know not. (16: 74) The parable of those who take protectors other than God is that of the spider who builds for itself a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the spiders house if they only knew! (29: 41). Have you seen him who makes his desire his god, and God sends him astray purposely, and seals up his hearing and his heart, and sets on his sight a covering? Who, then, will lead him after God has condemned him? Will you not then heed? (45: 23) God put forth a parable: a man belonging to many partners at variance with each other and a man belonging entirely to one master: are those two equal in comparison? (39: 29) Judaism and Christianity:

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! (Romans 1.25) What is the foreign god within a mans body? It is the evil impulse. (Talmud Shabbat 105b); Do not turn to mediums or wizards; do not seek them out, to be defiled by them. (Leviticus 19.31); The law against idolatry outweighs all other commandments. (Mekilta Exodus 12.6); Our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of mens hands. They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes but do not see. They have ears, but do not hear; noses but do not smell. They have hands, but do not feel; feet but do not walk; and they do not make a sound in their throat. Those who make them are like them; so are all who trust them. (Psalm 115.3-8) Hinduism: Fools dwelling in the darkness, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Katha Upanishad 1.2.5) Men of ignorance worship spirits and ghosts. (Bhagavad-Gita 17.4) Behold! A faithful wife has but one husband! Behold! A true believer has but one God! Look! The fellowship of other gods is debauchery! Look! To believe in different gods is harlotry! (Basavanna, Vacana 615-16) Sikhism: All vices are like chains thrown around the neck. (Adi Granth Sorath, M.1). The mighty proud ultimately rot in their own arrogance. (Adi Granth, Gauri Sukhmani, M.5) Taoism: (Chuang Tzu 8): A little confusion can alter the sense of direction; a great confusion can alter the inborn nature.

ix. Religion: Submission to the Will of God Quran: The religion before God is The Surrender to His Will and Guidance. Those who formerly received the Scripture differed only after the knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of God, God is swift at reckoning. (3: 19) Whoso seeketh as religion other than surrender to God it will not be accepted for Him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter. (3: 85) It is not righteous that you turn your faces to the east and the west; but righteous is he who believeth in God and the Last Day and the Angels and the Scriptures and the Prophets; and giveth his wealth for love of Him to kinsfolk and to orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and to those who ask and to set slaves free; and observeth proper worship and payeth poor due (a loan without interest or thought of gain). And those who keep their treaty when they make one, and patient in tribulation and adversity and time of stress. Such are they who are sincere. Such are the God fearing. (2: 177) Judaism and Christianity: yield yourselves to God as men who have been brought from death to life. (Romans 6.13) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. (Proverbs 910) Make Gods Will as your will, so that He may make your will as His will; make naught your will before His He may make naught the will of others before your will. (Mishnah, Abot 2.4) Zoroastrianism: Proclaim, O Wise One, will, so that that we may hear for which the decreed rewards shall be assigned instruct us through right, paths good to tread, of good mind. Those who surrender to God all selfish attachments are like the leaf of a lotus floating clean and dry in water. Sin cannot touch them. (Bhagavad-Gita Gita 5.10) Sikhism: A thousand million feats of intellect bring not emancipation. How then to become true to the Creator? How to demolish the wall of illusion? Through obedience to His Ordinance and will. Says Nanak, this blessing too is pre-ordained.
