Gold Heat is simply the best choice for radiant heat under stone and ceramic tile. The wire mats are thin, light, and easy to install with a single mortar application, and the heat is even and gradual (see infrared thermograph below)

H E AL T H Radiant heat has no blowers to circulate dust, pet fur, and allergens. Radiant heat gently warms the surfaces while adding very little heat to the air, leaving it cool, moist, and pleasant.

Gold Heat uses a new RUGGEDIZED wire, custom engineered for Aries Engineering to withstand most common causes of wire breaks and ground faults. The RUGGEDIZED wire is encased in a stainless steel outer braid, making it incredibly tough and nearly unbreakable.

Gold Heat does not heat the air, but gently warms the surrounding surfaces and occupants, allowing for the a lower thermostat setting than traditional heating methods while providing the same comfort level. Peak floor temperature is 25-30 above ambient floor temperature.

Gold Heat uses a controller that regulates the floor temperature by means of a sensor built into the floor, thus ensuring that the temperature sensed by the controller and the owner are the same.

Gold Heat produces 15 watts/square foot of heat. Gold Heat is best installed under stone or ceramic tile floors and is compatible with thin-set mortar or adhesives containing cement.

Gold Heat operates on 120V. Gold Heat is not available as a 12V system. Gold Heat provides clean, quiet heat, with no blowers or transformers, and it creates no hum or noise. The thermostat makes a quiet clicking as it switches on.

Each heat mat can be configured up to 220 long, allowing for nearly infinite design flexibility. Connect the mats to the electrical system and control them with our SunStat thermostat. The SunStat is available in both programmable and non-programmable options that can be set to regulate the floor temperature based on either the ambient air temperature or via the sensor embedded in the floor during installation

Gold Heat warms gradually, radiating heat to the surfaces above the floor and providing direct warmth where it is needed most where circulation is often poorest the feet. Without looking at the LCD display, the change in floor temperature is not easily noticed until the temperature has risen about 10. Full temperature rise takes about an hour and peak temperature is about 25-30F above ambient. Under normal operation, owners will often set their central air thermostats down to about 65, while the floor temperature of 85-90 keeps the room warm and the occupants comfortable.
