Note: the information herein gives an overview of the Masters programme structure. Specific courses and activities are subject to change, although the general overview is maintained.
Semester 2
The course in this semester treat more advanced phenomena in turbomachinery. Both the structural as well as the aerodynamic field are treated in depth. Experimental and numerical techniques and methods are studied. The courses include thermal turbomachinery, unsteady aerodynamics, advanced mechanics and finite element methods, advanced aeroelasticity among other elective courses as combustion theory and combustion instabilities and vibrations. In semesters 1 and 2 there are also project courses, in which the student will study in teams to solve a specific industrial project.

opponent. Each student have to read and prepare for presentation of all the selected papers, but they will only (randomly) be selected to make one presentation. Other activities such as seminars in Professional Development can also be done during this period.
Between Semester 2 and Semester 3: Students distributed among partners (university and industry)
The students will do a summer internship at selected industries/universities. They will interact with each other in remote discussion seminars. At the end of the internship the student shall make a 10 min presentation (remote) to all the course participants about the project.

Thesis Project
The final thesis project is done in semester 4 (semester 3&4 in case of mobility option 3) and the students are attached to one of the 4 partner universities. The study is performed in industry or at university.
Mobility Options
According to the specialization options, there are different mobility alternatives. These are included in the chart below. Unsteady Aerodynamics, Duke Structural Vibration and Fatigue, AUTH Aeromechanical & Material Design, ULg Mobility Path Specialization Sem1 Sem2 Easter Course Summer Course Sem 3 Sem 4** Easter Course Degrees from 1 UA SVF AMD 7 SVF & AMD KTH KTH

*Most courses given by Duke University remotely. ** The thesis project is performed during semester 4. Students including specialization of Unsteady Aerodynamics (UA) (i.e.: options 2, 3 and 5) will also follow courses in semester 4. If specialization in Unsteady Aerodynamics is not included (i.e.: options 1, 4 and 6), only the thesis work is compulsory during semester 4.
Being accepted to the Master Programme does not guarantee you will be assigned to your mobility option preference. The option attribution is based on preference but is not automatically satisfied. Selection process of the mobility option will be issued during the first semester of the Master Programme.
