Today on 30th August three member central ABSU team met the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar

Shinde at his residence 2 nd Krishna Menon Marg, New Delhi-110003 at 9.30 pm and Paban Singh Gharowar Union Minister for DoNER at 1.30 pm at his office 261 Bigyan Bhawan and Submitted a Memorandum separately on following demands.

Demands: 1. The Government should chalk out broad based policy including all sections of people for confidence building measure with a view to restoring peace and normalcy. 2. The Central and the state Governments should explore the root causes of the present violence and identify the forces responsible for the same and punished the guilty as per the law of the land. 3. Adequate Compensation should be made to the victims by assessing the actual value of the property lost. 4. Take bold initiative for the Protection of Tribal Belts and Blocks under Chapter X of Assam land & revenue regulation Act 1886 by ensuring that the non tribals are not rehabilitated in the Tribal Belts and Blocks.
5. Take initiative for the solution of Influx problem in Assam with time bound manner and

upgradation of NRC Should be done on the basis of 1971 electoral role without further delay. 6. Only bonafide citizens should be rehabilitated by making proper scrutiny of the genuineness of the relief inmates on the basis of land document. 7. As the land subject is the transferred subject to the BTC authority, the state government should be made accountable to take confidence to the council authority while rehabilitating the relief inmates. 8. Take initiative to resolve the pending Bodo issue for permanent peace and sustainable development of the region through meaningful dialogue involving all the movement groups.

9. Take Initiative to solve the insurgency problems of the North Eastern States for permanent peace and sustainable development in the region. 10. Take initiative to call a national conference with all the political parties and the State governments of the North East India and west Bengal, and civil societies groups from the

North East India to evolve a national policy to deal with illegal immigration from Bangladesh.
11. No Khas land and reserved forest be used as dumping ground for rehabilitation of displaced people in BTAD in the name of rehabilitation. 12. Rise of radical groups among Muslim and their probable link with international terrorist organizations after this conflict should seriously be looked into by the Government and timely action in that regard should be taken for the interest of national security. 13. No civilians, innocent people, or students should be harassed or arrested during army operation in the name of nabbing culprits.
