Have a temporary fixed position Kevin Bartlett, from the International School Brussels, uses this term a lot.

It indicates that teachers, and schools, should know what they believe, do what they believe, but also be open to change. It is very important that people involved in education really do know what they believe about education, and it is just as important that they are acting on those beliefs. However, it is equally important that we are open to change when we see the value in it. It is also important that we work in places and with curriculum that are aligned with our beliefs. If we do not, we should seek positive change, or move on.
