* RULES: School Rules: All rules concerning major and minor violations of the Code of Student Conduct (In Student Handbook) will be enforced. 3. Please no eating or drinking in the classroom. 4. Students must have their Student Planbook with them at all times to log assignments and use as a hall pass. 5. Always get teacher-permission & sign-out when leaving the classroom. 6. Cell Phones are out of sight in the classroom or stored in your locker. If violated, the phone is confiscated with an office referral issued. *REQUIRED MATERIALSDAILY MUST HAVES IN CLASS !!!: Pencil only class Red Pen only & Highlighter Simple Solutions Workbook Completed homework(s) Math Binder (2 in.) with dividers *TARDINESS: Tardiness will not be tolerated. Detentions will be issued.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE TEACHER DISMISSES THE CLASS! Always remember to wait on the previous class to completely exit the room before entering. *HOMEWORK Policy: Homework is assigned almost every night. You can view Calculators preferred: (TI-30X 11S) all weekly assignments from home using your Progress Book log-in. All homework is due at the beginning of class. Failure to complete homework will be reflected in your Friday Quiz Grade. So, homework is important! * 10% grade reduction when class work is turned in late. Assignments cannot be turned in after the assessment for that particular unit then becoming a 0 in the gradebook. *Assessment Re-do Policy: Students are encouraged to retake assessments within one week it is handed back with only one retake per assessment. Students may retake three assessments per quarter, and will receive the highest grade achieved! Note: Students may not retake Quarterly Assessments. *GRADING: The students grade will be based upon the following criteria: Class work/Projects Tests & Quizzes Quizzes (every Friday !!!) Math Lab Extra Credit (see below)

*Extra Credit ( all 4 quarters): Students are encouraged to locate mathrelated articles in newspapers, magazines & Internet sites. After reading the article, write a one-page summary explaining how Math was seen or used in the article. There is a limit of 3 article summaries per student for each quarter. *FRANKLIN CITY SCHOOLS GRADING SCALE (adopted 2012/2013 year) 90-100 A 70 - 70 C 59 & Below F 80 - 89 B 60-69 D *Extra Help in Math (after School): I am available every Wednesday after school from 2:20 3:00.
