The speaker uses emphases, pauses and pitch (rise and fall of tones) effectively.
2 Pronunciation is generally intelligible.

The speaker observes proper pauses and pitch. There are some lapses and moderate native language influence.
1 Pronunciation is inconsistently intelligible.

Native language influence is interferes with appropriate delivery of text.
0 No response. Response is completely unintelligible.

Question 3. Task: Describe a picture. 3 The response is relevant to the picture and includes appropriate details.
Delivery is smooth and consistent. Vocabulary is accurate and relevant to the picture. Structure is coherent.
The response is relevant to the picture but content may dwell on minor details.
Delivery is generally smooth but listener has to exert effort. Vocabulary is limited and sometimes inaccurate. Structure is limited and sometimes incomprehensible.
