A Parish Renewal at St. Francis Xavier Church September 2226th, 2012 Preached by Father Frank Sutman, O.P.
Rev. Frank Sutman, O.P. is coming to St. Francis Xavier Church during the week of September 23rd thru 26th. Father Frank has a background that enhances his ministry. He has traveled across the world, serving in the Army from 1971 to 1975, where he was based in Germany and the USA. He taught a program for emotionally disturbed and learning disabled students in Virginia in the late 1970s. He lectured at Tangaza in Nairobi, Kenya, from 1991 to 1995. He taught and acted as a chaplain and professor in St. Petersburg, Russia from 1995 to 2000. Fr. Sutman has been a member of the retreat staff of St. Stephen Priory in Dover and serves as a chaplain at Norfolk, Ma prisons. Fr. Frank took simple vows to the order of Friar Preachers in 1980, solemn vows in 1983 and he was ordained to the priesthood in 1985. His first assignment was to New York City, where he served as chaplain at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer center. He is very modest about his vast experiences, emphasizing that the best times in life are simply when people experience a deep sense of love.
