    Du`aa of Ibn `Umar when Breaking the Fast


    From Naafi`: from Ibn `Umar -radiyallaahu `anhumaa- that he said: "It used to be said: 'Every Believer has a supplication that is answered when he breaks his Fast: either it is brought forward for him in his worldly life, or it is stored up for him in the Hereafter.' He said: So Ibn `Umar used to say when he broke the Fast:

    [Yaa Waasi`al-Maghfirat-ighfirlee] "O One Vast in Forgiveness! Forgive me." - Reported by Ibnul-A`raabee in his 'Mu`jam' (no.341), and by al-Bayhaqee in his 'Shu`abul Eemaan' (no. 3749). Declared hasan by Shaikh Aboo `Umar Usaamah al-`Utaybee -hafizahullaahin an article entitled Tahqeequs-Sawaab fee anna du`aaas-Saaim mustajaab.
