TEACHERS LESSON PLAN LEVEL: 7th (English)
UNIT # 6. He was only 22 UNIT AIMS: To study the simple past of the verb to be in all of its forms, to use the appropriate time expressions, ordinal numbers and dates, to do some reading, listening and writing exercises related to the topic that is being studied. NUMBER OF LESSONS IN THIS UNIT: 20 NUMBER OF WEEKLY LESSONS: 5 (6 - 10) DATE: Monday, April 16th 2012 LESSON AIMS: Lesson 6: To do some written exercises about the use of the simple past of the verb to be and to read a text about a concert and to listen to a dialogue about the Beatles. Lesson 7: To check vocabulary about ordinal numbers and dates. Lesson 8: To read and listen to a text about an accident in the park and to do the activities proposed in the book. Lesson 9: To work in groups on different activities in the book. Lesson 10: To write an e-mail about where students were last summer. ACTIVITIES: RESOURCES: Lesson 6: English notebook 1.) Use teacher's activity sheets and do English book activities 1,2, and 3. Cd 2.) Check answers with students. Cd - player 3.) Dictate students 5 questions of the Computing book background information about the Beatles. Teacher's activity sheets 4.) Read the information and repeat twice so Teacher's guide students can complete. Then, check answers written lesson with them. 5.) Students open their books on page 44 and complete activities a,b,c and d. 6.) Answers are checked. Lesson 7: 1.) Remind students the use of ordinal numbers and copy them until 30th on the board. Make students practice saying each number and then, ask them to copy in their vocabulary notebooks. 2.) Follow the same process for dates, remind them their use and explain that we write differently from how we read them. Teach them the two forms to read. 3.) Ask students to open their books on page 45 and do activities a and b, check answers. 4.) Ask students to do activity c in pairs, make sure they work correctly. 5.) Do actiivity d and check answers. 6.) Ask students to do activities e and f in their

notebooks, make sure they work correctly and check answers with the class. 7.) Their homework is to do page 104 and 105 activities a,b and c. Lesson 8: 1.) Check the homework with students. 2.) Ask students if they have ever broken a bone or have been injured. If not, ask them to mention if they know a person that has gone through these things. 3.) Introduce the words "ground, helmet", ask students to open their books on page 46, students read the dialogue by themselves and find the answer to the question a. Confirm the answer and then, play the cd so students listen to pronunciation. 4.) Point some students to read the dialogue and then ask them to do activity b. Then, check answers. 5.) Introduce the expression of page 47, make them copy in their vocabulary and ask them to give an example with each one. 6.) Students do activities a, b, c and d on page 47. Answers are checked. 7.) Computing activities. Lesson 9: 1.) Students open their books on page 47. Ask them to form groups of four and follow the instructions of activity 9. Give them some time to prepate the role plays. 2.) The different groups present their role plays, make them act in the class. 3.) After this, make students to create a dialogue using all of the topics and vocabulary learned in this unit: simple past of the verb be, ordinal numbers, dates and everyday english expressions. 4.) Ask students to do activities 10 a, b and c. 5.) Check answers with the class. 6.) Their homework is to study the topics of this unit for a written lesson. Lesson 10: 1.) Students take the written lesson. 2.) Use teacher's guide and dictate them the background information about Spain on page 92. 3.) Ask students where they went on holiday last year or summer. 4.) Students open their books on page 48 and do activity 11a, check answers with the class. 5.) Ask students to do activity 11b in their notebooks. Explain it carefully. 6.) Check students answers and if there is time, ask them to open their books on pages 107 and 108. If students finish in class, check

answers, otherwise, they will finish it at home.
