UNIT # 3: Agitation and strife years UNIT AIMS: To study social justice strife, people's life and culture, education and rights with the different implications they have caused. NUMBER OF LESSONS IN THIS UNIT: 15 NUMBER OF WEEKLY LESSONS: 2 (6 - 7) DATE: Thursday, May 3rd 2012 LESSON AIMS: Lesson 6: To study about popular culture and public and social rights. Lesson 7: To take the written lesson about the previous topic. ACTIVITIES: RESOURCES: Lesson 6: Social Studies notebook 1.) The teacher explains about popular culture Social Studies book and public and social rights. Teacher's activity sheets 2.) Students read the information they have in Social Studies test their book on pages 24 and 25. 3.) A short summary about it is done on the board. 4.) Students copy that summary in their notebooks. 5.) Comprehension questions are asked. Lesson 7: 1.) The test is given to students. 2.) Students take the test. 3.) Answers are checked in class orally. 4.) The test is corrected. ASSESSMENT: Lesson 6: class participation Lesson 7: written test LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students are aware of the class, they particpate answering and asking questions about the topics of these lessons. NOTES: I need 40 copies of the test.
