UNIT # 4:Contemporary Ecuador UNIT AIMS: To identify the colective actors or the third Republic period analyzing the historic changes at that time to estimate the strife for social justice and unity in the diversity. NUMBER OF LESSONS IN THIS UNIT: 20 NUMBER OF WEEKLY LESSONS: 2 (1 - 2) DATE: Thursday, May 10th 2012 LESSON AIMS: Lesson 1: To analyze defining years and the Cold War. Lesson 2: To analyze the scientific advances that there were in the sixties. ACTIVITIES: RESOURCES: Lesson 1: Social Studies book 1.) The test of the previous lesson is taken the Social Studies notebook first hour. Dictionary 2.) Students open their books on page 26, they Teacher's activity sheets read the information they have on that page test of unit 3 and on page 27. 3.) The teacher explains the class about defining years and Cold War. 4.) A short summary is done on the board. 5.) Students copy this summary in their notebooks. 6.) Comprehension questions are asked. Lesson 2: 1.) The teacher reminds students the previous class, she asks some comprehension questions for them. 2.) The teacher introduces the topic about scientific advances, she asks students' opinion. 3.) A short summary about it is done on the board. 4.) Students copy it in their notebooks. ASSESSMENT: Lesson 1: test of unit 3. Lesson 2: class participation LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students are aware of the class, they participate answering and asking questions about the topic that is being studied. NOTES: I need 40 copies of unit 3 test.
