UNIT # 4: Contemporary Ecuador UNIT AIMS: To identify the colective actorsor the third Republic period analyzing the historic changes at that time to estimate the strife for social justice and unity in the diversity. NUMBER OF LESSONS IN THIS UNIT: 20 NUMBER OF WEEKLY LESSONS: 2 (2 - 3) DATE: Thursday, May 17th 2012 LESSON AIMS: Lesson 2: To finish studying "Cold War" and to analyze scientific advances. Lesson 3. To explain about "Revolutionary Winds and the reaction" ACTIVITIES: RESOURCES: Lesson 2: Social Studies notebook 1.) Check the correction of the test and the Social Studies book test signature. Teacher's activity sheets 2.)Finish the summary about Cold War. 3.) Ask students to open their books on page 26 and to read the information. 4.) The teacher explains about scientific advances and does a summary about it on the board. 5.) Students copy that summary in their notebooks and answer comprehension questions. Lesson 3. 1.) Students open their books on page 27 and read about "Revolutionary winds". 2.) The teacher explains the class about "Revolutionary winds and the reaction" 3.) A summary about it is done on the board. 4.) Students copy it in their notebooks. 5.) Comprehension questions are asked. ASSESSMENT: Lesson 2: class participation Lesson 3: class participation LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students are aware of the class, they particpate answering and asking questions about the topic that is being studied.
