UNIT # 4: Contemporary Ecuador UNIT AIMS: To identify the colective actors of the third Republic period analyzing the historic changes at that time to estimate the strife for social justice and unity in the diversity. NUMBER OF LESSONS IN THIS UNIT: 20 NUMBER OF WEEKLY LESSONS: 2 ( 3- 4) DATE: Thursday, May 24th 2012 LESSON AIMS: Lesson 3: To explain about "Revolutionary winds and the reaction". Lesson 4: To read information about "Agrarian changes and industry". ACTIVITIES: RESOURCES: Lesson 3. Social Studies notebook 1.) Finish dictating the information about Social Studies book scientific advances and a short explanation Dictionary about them. Teacher's activity sheets. 2.) Students open their books on page 27 and read about "Revolutionary winds". 3.) The teacher explains about this topic. 4.) A summary about it is done on the board. 5.) Students copy it in their notebooks. 6.) Comprehension questions are asked. Lesson 4: 1.) Students open their books on page 27 and read the information they have about agrarian changes. 2.) New vocabulary is introduced to students. 3.) The teacher gives a short introduction about the topic that will be finished next class. ASSESSMENT: Lesson 3: class participation Lesson 4: class participation LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students are aware of the class, they participate answering and asking questions about the topic that is being studied. NOTES: I repeat the same plan of the previous week because we did not have class on Friday, May 25th that is why we could not finish the lessons.
