TOWER PROJECT UPDATE

Bob SchillingProject Director Bob.pm@ksqmfm.com As anyone knows with capital campaigns, there are going to be A LOT of balls in the air at one time and this project is no exception. We currently have the County Project Review in hand which spells out the contact people we will be working with through the paperwork process. Before we can begin, we need to complete the land conversion, SEPA/ Determination of Non-Significance and a Forest Practice Permit before we can sell the trees and get the one acre track down to stumpage. As for the fundraising side of this project, I am happy to announce we now have three of the five campaign chairs to begin funding the tower. Adam Sullivan has agreed to chair the Community Donations committee. This committee is responsible for displaying the donations cards throughout our signal area as well as participating in public booths, speaking engagements, etc. The two remaining chair positions yet to be filled are those of the Celebrity Circle and Tower Events Committees. For more information on how you can participate in either committee, give me a call at KSQM or email me. We have had several contractors from many professions come forward to offer their services towards this project . We are very grateful for their interest. Stay tuned for more about these local businesses. One thing we all need to remember is that the broadcast area is going to enlarge greatly improving the signal. In addition, the Emergency Alert/ Broadcast System area will be enhanced by the use of translators
