Faith Forensics 2 (Sherie) Hebrews 11:1 - Faith is being what we hope for , Its one step higher then hope - What is circumstantial faith? - Its for people who are new believers, a starter pack - Are we still having circumstantial faith? - If we hold on to circumstantial faith, its going to be fragile, because it can change. How many of us have discovered that circumstantial faith ? LX: Realized that he has no faith in God when bad things come and doesnt turn to God. Sherie: How is this faith bad for yourself? LX: Because I dun have faith in God. As a result when bad things happen, I turn away from God and move away from God. Jona: The fact its called circumstantial is the lack of stability. There will be a strong tendancy to move away from God. We will become afraid of the crisis because we haven depended on God instead of trusting and putting God into the Crisis. Faith: When new believers bang the the starter pack faith, when they are faced with a new issue they realise that God is not there. It becomes fragile because it is not constant. Its only there when good things happen but when bad things happen it doesnt work out. Sherie: Is that your believe system in the past? Faith: I think there was a time where here was alot of miracles in my life. When things went harewire I felt God wasnt with me. But now i begin to understand the things that happens in the past. When he doesnt help me in the problems I realize it happen to make me grow. I used to take Higher Chinese O levels and I was having Cramps on the day of the paper. Because of God I got A1 even though I haven finish the paper. I remember reading the bible before the paper although I was suppose to read the handbook. After I left church I felt God was not there and came back after, I realise that he was always there. I only felt that way because I was banging on circumstantial faith. YM: When we have Circumstantial faith, its easy for the Devil to attack you. It becomes a change to lead it away. Its dangerous and the devil can use it for your own advantage. When you fall to pieces in a crisis, in the beginning there nothing much to begin with. Its very dangerous how it can stray you away from God.

HT: Reminded me of what Ps Mark spook in Radcon about oil reserves. We really need to read our bible and built a relationships with God. Is our believe based on the miracles or the faith in God. Anyone with enough hope can believe in miracles. But is your faith deep enough to tide you through tough time. Jona: My believe system in the past, faith was is knowing what God is going to do and expecting him to do. Forgetting there is an action component to it. the farmer preparing for rain I didnt grapple on the point if God existed, but when bad things happen I wonder what I didn't do. Faith became a formulae for me.I learnt Faith isnt a formulae. Its God and us, we have to act as well. If we want Grace for the exam what are we going to do to prepare ourselves for the paper as well. Real faith believe that God will come and they do everything they can. Doing the natural waiting for the supernatural from God. Sherie: Faith is who he says he is in the Bible. What ever promises he said will come through. Hebrews 11:8 God called abraham to go lead according. But what he did was to place his trust in God and just walk. That is real faith. Why? Because as Christians, sometime we work and study but in the end we lose track. Not knowing if we are going the right way, and not knowing what we are doing. But in the verse, we know wherever we are placed is where God wants us. Having faith is obediently moving in the unknown. Sometimes we do not understand why we are doing what we are doing. He knows our future he knows where we are. But regardless where we are we continue to move forward and followed in his leading. In the end he had so many descendants because of his obedience in God. We might be lose where and what we are doing. We might not know the whole plan but keep trusting in him and keep on track. In the end it might seem impossible but we gotta remember that God has the best plans for us. Faith: Ps Daniel gave the example. Sherie: God knows our prayer and he will answer if its biblical and according to his will. Amanda: Im a person that needs to plan alot. God keep remind me that I need to Go and he will lead us through. He gave us a end point but there are many routes to the end point Jona: Its good to plan but we also have to follow Gods lead. We dont always follow a straight path. But the point comes when God come in. Will your choose to follow what God wants. The heart of ever prayer, the intention is very important. Sherie: John 16:3

In this world there will be trouble. God changed my thinking. I was HUH! really ah i thought God will give a good life. Why the trouble. But with this series, he reminded me that it is through these things, he is actually molding me and forming me to who I should be. Its a process. Amanda: If things didnt happen, I think I wouldnt be where I would be HT: Its important to plan fr things. But we gotta check back if its accordance to his world. WE can put his word to test. Check back to fellow Christians. We shouldnt be waiting for something for it. We should be planning and putting it to work. Amanda: There should always be an action to it. If we dont plan to do anything we dont prepare for it. WE should not plan and take over the control instead give God the control. Sherie: We know that God is always on our side. we will always recieve mercy and grace from him. Jesus experience what we experience. How is it possible? But Jesus is the son of God, and he has faced everything and he wants you to move on with him.

YM:Ive been trying to do that. (Abraham Story) I wanted to enter a sec sch teaching program but I missed the dateline. I felt quite sore about it. I started looking to look for other alternative. God stopped me and asked me why I didnt trust God because I didnt see what was far ahead. i kept trying to plan something far away. But i realise god didnt want me to see far. I Dream alot but alot of what I dream didn not come through. When I got older I got sick of dreaming. God didnt want me of dreaming because I got disappointed when dreams do not come through. What matters is following and not worrying. Even though abraham didnt know where he was going he went. Sometimes, its better to be moving then not move at all. Sherie: Start o observe and exercise real faith in our life. That we are moving forward. I wanna hear how we have exercise our faith. Amanda: God if you are WILLING is knowing that God has the choice. It changed the way I pray. Its knowing that sometime, he might not answer but still provide.

PRAISE REPORT: Jona: Thank God for the examination that is over. And for the grades that he God a A- for a paper. Faith: Thank God for the chance to share with he friends. He best friend is a staunch Buddhist. But this time she has the chance to talk to her because he she could share about the gastric problems. She hopes that as she share more she can bring her to church.. Her previous colleague, she was talking about another situations and they started talking and sharing. She was interested in the conversation and it helped strike up the conversation. Pamela: Its quite hard to adjust back to school. And she is glad that she got a distinction. Thank God for pulling me through. END
