APPLICATIONS
AMSOIL Break-In Oil is designed to effectively break in high-
porormanoo and raoing onginos roquiring SAE 30 oil, nolping
maximizo oomprossion, norsopowor and torquo.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The engine builders or manufacturers break-in recommenda-
tions snould bo ollowod i availablo. Broak-in poriod snould not
oxoood 1,000 milos. Wnon tno ongino is now, tno oxnaust ports
will navo a largo aroa o oil rosiduo (Fig. 3). As tno rings bogin to
soat, loss oil is passod and tno oil rosiduo aroa bogins to snrink
(Fig. 4). Wnon tno rings aro ully soatod and navo ormod a tignt
soal against tno oylindor walls, no oil rosiduo will bo ovidont.
Other common methods to determine if rings have seated
