LANUS forged steel ball valves are available in Full port or Reduced port. These terms are defined in BS 5351.1990, API 6D and APl 608. The different patterns vary as regards port area for a given size of valve. Consult factory for sizes not shown.
Figure Numbering
A familiarity with our figure number system is not necessary when specifying or ordering our valves. Providing a full description of the valve is given. Our sales office will translate this into a figure number. A full description of the valve would begin with LANUS Forged steel ball valves and would then go on to give size, pressure rating, flanging details etc. We give an example below in order to illustrate a typical figure number. But if a fuller explanation is required please feel free to contact us by email.

Remark
1) The test duration is calculated after the testing pressure in the valve has been increased to the value stipulated on the standard. These durations will be adhered to unless a different specification is required against a particular order. Hydrostatic tests of long duration require that the valve be given special attention to facilitate pipeline testing. The same duration for BS6755, GB/T13927 & ISO5208. 2) ISO5208 has no this requirement which is cited from BS6755. 3) The same duration for JB/T9092, API600 & API598. 4) API 6D also requires a 5.5 bar(80 PSIG)air test on the seat for the same duration.
The body markings are supplemented by a nameplate which, depending on valve type and size, is mounted in the most practicable position. Nameplates bear the following information: Fig Number Valve size Body material Ball material Stem material Seat and trim material Pressure and temperature rating
