The IEBF program provided me with a solid foundation of theoretical applied elements which will equip me for a responsible post in the financial and commercial world. The principles and techniques learned from some module like Quantitative Method and Development Finance I have applied in some areas of research. In addition, issues in money and banking and international banking were also interesting as the former gave me more knowledge of other countries economies such as Japan, Hong Kong, and China, and so on, and the later expanded my understating in most of banking aspects. My dissertation focused on the significance of financial development as a determinant of economic growth in nine EU Countries through in depth study. The research brought together the learning from the modules but also gave me a practical opportunity to experience the challenges. During my bachelors I was introduced to the dynamics of financial sector with courses like corporate finance, Investment theory and Bank management. I learned the basics of human psychology, theories of organizational and consumer behaviour and advance level of strategic management. In my final year project I evaluated the total financial and accounting activity of a local company through a research study of Meghna Cement Mills Ltd.s yearly brochures which includes LC, daily banking activity, Loan etc. I looked at local acceptability of a global system and noted although there were significant inflexibilities, it was successful due to effective and meaningful two way communications.
