Introduction:

Public parks are found in cities and towns. A public park is a kind of pleasure-garden where the urban people sit and enjoy.

Necessity:

Cities and towns do not possess the green beauty of the countryside. They are filled with din and bustle and dust and smoke. The urban people feel suffocated in this heavy atmosphere. They wish to taste the cup of rural scenes which are not available in cities and towns. A public park is an attempt to provide a taste of green beauty to these busy people during their leisure-hours. Here they find a wealth of oxygen which is rare in other parts of the town.

General description:

A public park is raised and maintained on a planned basis. It is fenced all around with the iron bars with gates for entrance and exit. It is full of beautiful plants and creepers which are filled with beautiful seasonal flowers. Lots of beautiful green grass cover the ground-floor. Little flowers of unknown variety peep out of the green waves of grasses. The flower plants hold the flowers of uncommon beauty. Some trees are famous for their evergreen foliage. Many kinds of beautiful foreign herbs are planted in the park.

The public park provides comfortable sitting arrangements for the visitors. Hence, we find fixed chairs and fixed benches at the suitable spots in the park. The park provides electric light and radio broadcasting. The park provides artificial springs of water. In a very big park we find some swimming pools and arrangements for boating and racing.

In a big public park a corner of it is allowed only to the children. This portion of the part is known as 'children's corner'. Here we find some facilities for light games for the little children.

Conclusion:

It is true that public parks are necessary for the healthy and happiness of the town-dwellers. But it is pity that most of the Indian towns go without a single park. The cities of India may possess some parks. But such parks are not well-equipped. They are not up to the standard. They are not sufficient for the large population of a city. Hence, it is suggested that our parks should be multiplied in number. They should be upgraded and their standard should be raised.

Amusement parks Amusement parks have been around for decades and they are just as popular as they have ever been. For the most part, the physics and theories used to build these wonderful theme parks in the early years have withheld the test of time and are still exactly the same. Most people don't stop to think about how many amusement parks really rely on physics. If these thrilling rides were just constructed like you might build a tree house and physics was never applied, then the millions of people that flock to these attractions each year would simply have to find something else to waist their money and adrenaline on. First, we will look at the roller coaster. This is possibly one of the main attractions at an amusement park. What many people don't recognize is the fact that roller coasters aren't propelled by an engine. There is a good reason to back up the fact that the first hill is always the highest. Once the coaster is pulled up the hill by the crank, potential energy is at its fullest. As the coaster is making its way down the hill, that potential energy is converted into kinetic energy. At the bottom of the hill, kinetic energy is at its highest. Throughout the rest of the ride, the coaster is simply propelled by the const

ESEU NR.3 DESPRE PARCURI PT COPII-EXTRGI IDEI PT ACTIVITATI DESF.INTR UN PARC. Essay on the importance of a Children's Park A park is basically a well pruned and preserved area of land meant for people to come and relax, enjoy and spend some time away from the routine of their homes and work.

A Children's Park as the very name indicates, is a park meant for children to come in the mornings and evenings to spend their leisure time in the open and fresh air of the park, away from their congested homes and busy environments. A children's park has several playthings for them to play with and enjoy.

There are swings, slides, rods for hanging upon for exercise, and many other such items that provide for children their much required exercise, enjoyment, and refreshment away from their busy schedules of school and home.

In the mornings, in these parks children come with their parents or elders for walks, exercises and jogging, while, in the evening time they are again there for playing and having a good time after a heavy school routine. On the open space in a park, we can see children, the bigger ones playing games like badminton, cricket, and hockey, while the small ones enjoy the slides and swings.

The lonely corners in a children's park are also strewn with small babies in their perambulators with their governesses. Now, the governesses also get together for a chat while the babies are asleep, or just gazing at the blue skies. The governesses continue their chatting sprees while at times one can hear the babies cry aloud in their prams.

At times, in lonely corners we can also spot a few bigger children sit with their books and studying without a care of the world. Some children who do not have congenial atmosphere at home or do not have enough silence in their small houses, come here in the open to study in silence.

On the one hand when there is seriousness in studying of the big children, on the other hand there is gossiping about masters and mistresses - a complex and interesting sight at a children's park.

The sight of a children's park is simply one of a bubbling enthusiasm, for, it is strewn all over with young children, boys and girls of all hues and sizes.

The exuberance and enthusiasm here, cannot be easily found anywhere else - for, the young come here to enjoy and the elders with them come to see them enjoy - Oh what an amalgamation of a varied enjoyment here.

The fresh air mixed with the sound of the chattering of young minds is such a lovely intoxicant for any elder to enjoy. A children's park gives an onlooker the impression of complete and absolute happiness prevailing in the atmosphere and environment. ESEU NR 4 Amusement Parks

People of all ages, shapes, sizes, financial statuses, and interests pour, in vast numbers each year into such amusement parks as Disney World and Six Flags. Why the fascination with these places, even to the point of repetitive visits? Each individual has his own reason, but there are a few common to all. Here in a make-believe world can be found something for everyone.

On stepping from a sometimes harsh, ugly world through the gates of a "magic kingdom," one can do for a short while anything he desires. Vicarious living, with all the thrills and dangers of adventure in faraway places or daring escapades unavailable in everyday life, is here for the price of a ticket. There are wild rides: twisting, dipping, now fast, then slow, breath-taking, almost dangerous. For a few minutes one can live on the edge of danger, but always with the knowledge that safety is only inches and seconds away. Tamer rides are available for the children of all ages who prefer their thrills in more sedate doses. There are beautiful, clean, and true-to-life (better than life?) amusements here also; here everything is pretty, always works, and ends before boredom sets in. There are rides that take one through other countries, fantasy worlds, even into a mildly threatening outer space, and always with the surety of a safe return! Threatening animals become friends, and are totally predictable, clean, and nicer than the real thing. One can even return to the past, seeing of course only nostalgic beauty in the "good old days," and handily passing over any unpleasant memories. The future can be attained in seconds, showing the wonders in store for one as a result of the marvelous technilogical advances of mankind.

Of lesser importance, but still a valid reason for amusement park popularity, is the availability of food of many different types. Cuisine of exotic foreign countries is presented in a fairly reasonable form for a decent price. Where else could be tasted a bean-paste sweet typical of Japan, a delicate, flaky Napoleon of France, or a foaming cold beer served in a bier haus of Germany? All this, and more, is available at one price, as often as wished.

So are seen two reasons for the tremendous popularity of the amusement parks. All in one package, for one price, instant gratification is there, every day, year-round. All need and desire escape from mundane lives. The amusement parks provide this escape.
