May 22, 2012 Dear Fellow Democrats, I am writing to personally invite you to meet the next Congressman to represent

the 23rd District in Texas, State Representative Pete Gallego. Pete Gallego is an exemplary public servant having served 22 years in the Texas House of Representatives and being elected at just 28 years old. He has dedicated his life to public service and amassed a tremendous record including serving as a leader in supporting education and crafting and passing legislation that invested billions of dollars in our public schools. He is a leader on veteran's issues and criminal justice reform. Gallego also served in leadership positions in the House Democratic Caucus and Mexican American Legislative Caucus. Pete has received numerous awards for his leadership and is the best qualified candidate to run against the out of touch Republican congressman representing 100,000 El Pasoans and West Texans. Gallego's qualifications are not the only reasons Im endorsing him but he will clearly run the strongest campaign to win this district back from the Republicans, and oust the very questionable Quico Canseco.
