A Spring Story

An early robin swinging on high branches Warm breezes blowing about Young happy leaves dancing in the wind The smell of fresh grass and lilacs A boy and a girl Prancing over a field of green hay Singing like two birds on a spring morning Holding hands and glancing at each other Smiling ever so lightly, so gently Their eyes full of glittering sun Hearts on lacing white wings They leap They soar They fall And catch the other on a cloud Enveloping in a strong embrace Bursting out in laughter Echoing, seeping Quietly, tenderly As the sun begins to set
