TERMS & CONDITIONS COMMON FOR ALL ENTITLED CATEGORIES

(a) Any AFD category-I item can be purchased by the entitled customer only once
in period of two years, (i.e.) a period of two years should have lapsed before
purchase of the same AFD category-I item (Authority DDGCS letter
No.96412/Q/DDGCS dt 09 June 2003).

(b) Payment will be accepted only through a bank draft drawn on “Canteen Stores
Department Public fund Account (Main)”payable at the place of the Depot
concerned. Abbreviation like CSD should not be used.

(c) The Bank draft shall be issued by a Nationalised Bank. Draft issued by ICICI
& HDFC will also be accepted.

(d) Application forms that have cuttings, over writings and usage of fluid on
entries without counter signature and stamp of the authorized countersigning
authority shall be rejected.

(e) Application forms printed by dealers shall not be entertained.

(f) No interest will be paid by the Department or by the dealer for late delivery of
vehicles. Customers are requested to ascertain the delivery position from the
concerned dealer (s) and the concerned Depot (s) before booking of AFD-
items.

(g) Widows of service officers shall give a letter of under taking that they are not
remarried. The undertaking shall be countersigned by the same authority who
has countersigned the application form.

(h) Where the bonafide custmomer is unable to collect in person due to valid
reasons, proper authority letter with the signature of the nominee duly attested
by the bonafide customer and countersigned by the Unit Commander in case
of serving service personned and Station HQ/Zila Sainik Board in case of
retired service personned can be accepted for effecting deliveries at the
discretion of the depot.

The delivery of an item will be given to the same person who signs at the
Depot and in whose favour the authority for collection has been given by the
Depot. Where an authority letter has been given in favour of a nominee by an
bonafide customer, the collection can be done by the nominee only and not by
the bonafide customer, himself. This is because the Depot effects payment to
the dealer after due comparison of the signature of the customer as obtained at
ehe Depot on the authority letter/ release order with the signature as appearing
on the challan of the dealer for having effected the delivery. (Authority

SPECIFIC TERMS & CONDITIONS

For Serving Officers

(a) Application form of serving personnel shall be countersigned by the


CO/OC UNIT/Formation in which the personnel is serving. The
countersigning authority shall put his seal/stamp under his signature.

(b) The serving personned shall produce his identity card for verification to the
depot authorities at the time of purchase. The I-Card Number shall be
recorded on the face of the application form.

For Retired Service Personned

(a) Application form of retired serving personned shall be countersigned by


the Station HQ/Zila Sainik Board. The countersigning authority shall put
his seal/stamp under his signature.

(b) The retired personnel shall produced his discharge book/pension book for
verification to the depot authorities at the time of purchase. Entry shall be made
in the discharge book/pension book of the AFD-I purchase by the retired
personnel.

For purchase of Car

(a) Application Form of Serving Personnel shall be countersigned by the


CO/OC unit/Formation in which the personnel is serving. The
countersigning authority shall put his seal/stamp under his signature.

(b) Serving Personnel shall produce their Identity Card to the Depot
Authorities at the time of purchase of car. The I-card No. shall be recorded
on the face of the application form.

(c) Application form of Retired Service Personnel shall be countersigned by


the Station HQ/Zila Sainik Board. The countersigning authority shall put
his seal/stamp under his signature.

(d) The retired personnel shall producted his discharge book/pension book for
verification the depot authorities at the time of purchase. Entry shall be
made in the discharge book/pension book of the AFD-I purchase by the
retired personnel.

(e) The applicant shall submit the copy of his Pan Card alongwith the
application form.

(f) The price prevailing on the date of delivery will be payable by the
customer.
