MINUTES BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTY PLANNERS Teleconference Call on March 7, 2012

1. Call to Order Chair Judy Francis convened the regular meeting at 2:51 pm (Eastern Time). 2. Roll Call Members present were Judy Francis, Robert Hill, Tim Brown, Royce Maniko, James Davenport, Mike Harper and Joe Scorcio. Dennis Sandquist, Charlie Compton, Keith Cubic, and Mike Kayes were excused. A quorum was confirmed. 3. Minutes of the February 14, 2012 Teleconference Hill moved, seconded by Maniko to approve the minutes as presented. Motion was approved. Harper abstained as he had not participated in the meeting. 4. Finance Report Treasurer Harpers provided current NACP financial report. Following the deposit of the awards application fees and the awards-related expenditures, he expects a $1400 balance at end of the fiscal year, June 30th. He will be sending out renewal reminders in April. Current balance is $1456.08. Scorcio moved and Hill seconded to accept the financial report. The motion passed unanimously. 5. Research Activities and Events Update Davenport provided an update on the wind energy white paper. He previously distributed the draft to entire board for review and comment. Comments are due by the end of March. He indicated that he had just returned from NACO Legislative Conference and hadnt had a chance to prepare a report. 6. Other Business Francis and Davenport are working on a session for the NACo Annual Conference in July in Pittsburgh. It appears a joint session with the parks and recreation affiliate is very likely. Scorcio will either be a presenter or session moderator representing NACP. Davenport will provide more details as soon as NACo releases the information. 7. Next Executive Committee Meeting Date and Time Francis advised that the next regular meeting will be the Joint Meeting with APA-CPD on Sunday, April 15, 2012, 11:45 am at the APA conference in Los Angeles. 8. Adjournment The NACP meeting was adjourned at 2:59 pm.
