At the course you will learn how to incorporate nature into your design while growing plants with water conservation in mind. Other topics we will look at are bank stabilization, creating bird habitat, helping pollinators, developing good soils, and native plant identification. Please bring good footwear with support for walking on uneven ground. Also, bring a lunch to enjoy on the deck or in the natural surroundings. The directions to Natural Habitat Gardens: Follow Hwy. 1 west to just past Carlin hall. Turn off highway at White Lake turn-off at bottom of hill. Follow White Lake road for 8.5 km to 3196 (strata road). Turn right and go up the hill. Take a left turn at the top of the hill and follow to the end. Just before the last house follow the driveway up to the right. There is parking for about 4 cars at the house with the blue roof and then I will direct people to park on the neighbouring property just before our house.
