Important Informations
1. This information brochure is for the general guidance of the applicants. The Admission Test and
admission to the first year degree course shall be governed by the relevant provisions of the
University of Allahabad Act, 2005 and the first ordinance made under Section 29 (2) of University
of Allahabad Act, 2005.
2. The information/executive instructions of the Government of India, the regulations / norms issued
by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the orders / judgments of the Hon'ble Supreme
Court of India and the Hon'ble High Court at Allahabad shall be strictly followed with regard to
reservation of seats in admission to the degree courses mentioned above.
3. The information in the brochure is complete. However, any subsequent change will be made
available on our website 'www.allduniv.ac.in, auadmission.co.in'. The admission to any degree
course is suggestive of the fact that the terms and conditions laid down in this brochure are
acceptable to the candidate and his/her guardian. The existing provisions of the Act, Statutes,
Ordinance and Rules framed by the University and those modified from time to time shall govern
the admissions of the candidates. Any change in the rule, regulations, fee, special conditions, etc.
shall mutatis mutandis apply to the admitted students.
4. The University of Allahabad reserves all rights to conduct UGAT-2012 and any decision taken by
the University in this regard shall be final and binding on all applicants.
5. UGAT-2012 is the combined Admission Test for admission to only regular degree courses offered
by the University of Allahabad and its Constituent Colleges, namely, Allahabad Degree College,
Arya Kanya Degree College, CMP Degree College, Iswar Saran Degree College, Jagat Taran
Girls Degree College, Rajarshi Tandon Mahila Mahavidyalaya, S.S. Khanna Girls Degree
College and Shyama Prasad Mukherji Degree College. Only those applicants who qualify this
Entrance Test will be eligible for admission to the University or its Constituent Colleges.
(Note : Ewing Christian College and Hamidia Girls Degree College are minority institutions
and are not included in this Admission Test).
6. The Admission Test and admission shall be made only as per the published scheme. No change
shall be made in this scheme on the ground that the candidate's qualifying examination result is
not declared, or no mark sheet has been issued to the candidate, or the candidate has to appear in
supplementary examination, etc. However, the University reserves the right to change the dates of
Admission Test or admission, if confronted with any special circumstances. A candidate who
fails to be present for counseling for admission on the date fixed by the University will forfeit
his /her claim.
7. It shall be the duty of the applicant to produce the prescribed/desired documents for admission. In
case of non-production of the desired documents, his/her claim for admission will automatically
stand cancelled. The information regarding the desired documents is published in this brochure
and any additional information will be published from time to time.
8. The applicant is advised to remain vigilant in collecting information published by the University
regarding the Admission Test, its results and other such details from relevant sources. The
University shall not be responsible if the applicant fails to collect such information.

9. The information regarding the Admission Test and admission process will be published on the
university website www.allduniv.ac.in, auadmission.co.in and will also be published in the
local newspaper.
10. The information supplied by the applicant in his/her application (i.e. Online/OMR
Registration) shall be final. Any subsequent change in the Online/OMR Registration Form
will not be allowed. If any information provided by the applicant is found to be false or
forged at any stage, his/her admission shall be cancelled and he/she may be liable for
prosecution under the law.
11. The applicant is advised to preserve the photocopy/printout of Online Registration/OMR
Form, Acknowledgment slip and the Fee Payment Challan/Draft for future correspondence
and reference.
12. Results declared by the University shall be final. There is no provision for scrutiny of
Answer Sheets.
13. Ragging in the University of Allahabad and its Constituent Colleges is strictly prohibited as
per orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. The orders of Hon'ble Supreme Court have
been communicated by the UGC letter no. Fl-1(2006 (CPP-II) dated March 4, 2008. If any
incident of ragging is reported it will invite stringent penal action according to law and as per
directives of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.
14. Disputes related to admission shall be under the jurisdiction of the Hon'ble Allahabad High Court
of judicature at Allahabad only.
What is UGAT 2012 ?
UGAT-2012 is the entrance examination for the session 2012-13 for admission to the regular
degree courses only i.e. B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. (Maths), B.Sc. (Bio), B.Sc. (Applied Science) and B.Sc.
(Home Science), Globalization Dual Degree Programme of the University of Allahabad and its eight
Constituent Colleges. This entrance examination will be held at Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Bareilly,
Bhubaneshwar, Delhi, Patna, Varanasi and Bhopal centers except B.F.A., B.P.E., B.Music for
which examination will be held only at Allahabad Centre.
How to obtain UGAT 2012 Registration Form ?
Online Registration can be done at the university website www.auadmission.co.in and
candidates can submit it without having to visit the university for collecting and submitting the form.
OMR Forms along with information brochure will also be available for purchase from Pravesh
Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad-21102 U.P. on all days including
holidays between 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on cash payment of Rs. 600/- for General and OBC candidates
and Rs. 300/- for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Handicapped applicants. Online
registration at website www.auadmission.co.in is starting from 24 March, 2012 and sale of OMR
forms from Pravesh Bhawan will start from 24 March, 2012. Last date of online submission and
submission of OMR form is 25 April, 2012. Applicants are hereby informed that in no case the UGAT-
2012 Registration Form shall be sent to them by post.
Eligibility for UGAT 2012
1. An applicant who has passed or appeared in any stream of the intermediate examination
conducted by the U.P. Board/C.B.S.E./I.C.S.E. or an examination equivalent there to is eligible to
apply for the Undergraduate Admission Tests for B.A., Globalization Dual Degree Programme,
B.F.A., B.P.E., B.Music.
2. An applicant who has passed or appeared at the above examination with Science Group is eligible
to apply for the Undergraduate Admission Test for B.Sc./B.Sc. (Applied Science).

3. Only such female applicants who have passed or appeared at the above examination either with
(a) Science Group, or (b) with any other Group having Home Science as one of the subjects after
having passed the High School (or equivalent) examination with science Group are eligible to
apply for the Undergraduate Admission test for B.Sc. (Home Science).
4. The candidate who has passed or appeared in the above examination with Commerce stream or
science stream will be eligible for admission to B.Com.
Note : A candidate who holds a Bachelor's Degree in any stream is not eligible to apply for any of
the streams of UGAT 2012.
UGAT -2012 Registration Form
Registration for UGAT-2012 can be done by any of the two options.
(a) Online Registration at www.auadmission.co.in
(b) OMR Registration Form
How to fill UGAT 2012 Online Registration ?
Candidates can submit online form for the UGAT-2012 test at the website
www.auadmission.co.in The website provides all the information required for online form
submission.
Online Prospectus :
The prospectus for UGAT-2012 is available on the website www.auadmission.co.in and the
admission seeking candidates can visit the website and download it. Candidates are advised to read the
prospectus carefully before applying.
Process of filling up the Online Registration Form :
Candidates willing to submit the Online form are first required to deposit the applicable fees
and then open website www.auadmission.co.in and submit their online form.
Process for depositing the fees for online form :
For Online Registration the candidates can deposit fee through DRAFT made in favour of
"Finance Officer, University of Allahabad", payable at Allahabad or download the
CHALLAN of State Bank of India from the website and fill it up correctly by mentioning all the
details required. The bank account number UGAT-2012 has to be clearly mentioned along with the
applicable fee which is Rs. 600./- in case of General and OBC Candidates and Rs. 300/- in case of
SC/ST/PH candidates. The completed challan along with the fees can be deposited at any of the
branches of State Bank of India. State Bank will give a unique 9 digit receipt number on acceptance of
the fee and this number is to be entered by the applicant on the online form. If the fee payment receipt
number entered by the candidate does not match with the details provided by the bank to the
university then admit card will not be issued and application will be cancelled. Bank will also give
two copies (student copy and university copy) of the challan to the candidate. The student is required
to send the original university copy of CHALLAN/DRAFT to Director Admissions, Pravesh
Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad and bring the photocopy along with
its Admit Card to the Test Centre and submit it at the time of Test.
Note : Candidate can apply for B.Sc. abd B.Sc. (Applied Science) or B.Sc. and B.Sc. (Home
Science) courses by same OMR by blackening appropriate oval in the OMR
Requirements for Online Registration Form Submission :
Admission aspirants are required to have scanned copy of their coloured photocopy of passport size
and scanned copy of their signature. These scanned copies of photo and signature are required to be
uploaded during the online form submission. The specification of the scanned copy of the photograph and
the signature are provided in the "How to fill Online Form" section of the website. All aspirants filling the

online form are advised to read the instructions to fill up the online form which has all the pre-requisites and
the guidelines. Upon successful submission of the form the candidates will be given a unique Application
ID and a password. If the candidate has provided their email ID in the online form then a registration email
will also be sent to the candidate which will have the Application ID and the Password details. The
candidates can use this Application ID and the password to login to the website and view or print their
forms and download their admit cards, when enabled. The forms submitted online can be printed and
reviewed by the applicant. If they find any mistake in the data entered by them, then they can login to the
website using their Application ID and the password and edit their forms and save them again. The Online
Forms can be edited and saved for any correction required within 3 days of the date of submission or the last
date of online submission, which ever is earlier. After the editing period of the form is over then no
correction will be allowed and the candidates will be responsible for the data submitted by them.
Candidates are also advised to view their photograph and the signature uploaded in the online form
and it should match with the sample provided in the "How to fill the online form" section of the website.
If the photograph or the signature uploaded by the applicant is not as per the guidelines then their
application is liable to be rejected.
Help Desk : For the convenience of the online applicants Help Desk has been setup for the Online Form
Submission and the phone numbers are available on www.auadmission.co.in Candidates are
responsible for ensuring that the information entered by them on the online form are true and correct in
all respect.
How to fill OMR Registration Form ?
1. OMR Registration Form, designed on Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) technology in which
'oval' filled by black ballpoint pen are recognized by the computer and are preserved in
electronic form for future use.
2. The OMR Registration Form is an important document. Do not mutilate or spoil it. Do not fold it
from any other place, which has not been specified. Do not write any other thing unless
otherwise asked to and do not make any symbol/mark on it either by pen or pencil.
3. The University may cancel the candidature of such applicants who furnish incomplete,
wrong or deliberate misinformation; or conceal the facts in Online/OMR Registration
Form.
4. The information provided and the data supplied by the applicant through the Registration Form
shall be preserved in the University. The University shall use the data for various purposes; hence,
in no case shall any change be allowed at a later stage. Therefore , all the information must be
furnished correctly, completely and clearly by the applicant himself/herself as per the instruction
given in the website or brochure.
5. If an applicant fails to follow the instructions/rules printed in this brochure and fills the OMR
Registration Form illegibly or the Form is left incomplete; and, because of these reasons if the
computer fails to scan the OMR Registration Form, the applicant shall be responsible for such an
error and in that case the University reserves the right to cancel the candidature of such an
applicant.
6. In the OMR Registration Form the required 'ovals' are to be blackened carefully by a black
ballpoint pen, Fill the corresponding boxes using capital letters of English alphabet clearly by a
black ballpoint pen only. Write only one letter in one box. Be careful and avoid
cutting/overwriting.

7. Do not enclose any document along with the filled-in OMR Registration Form at the time of
submission.
8. A special identification mark (bar code 30112545
) has been provided on each OMR
Registration Form, which is unique for every form. Therefore, submit the original
Registration Form only to the University Admission Office at Pravesh Bhawan. A
photocopy or any other copy of the Registration Form or its duplicate will in no case be
accepted.
9. The applicant should fill and sign at specified places in the OMR Registration Form by
himself/herself. If at any stage the signature of the applicant is found to be forged or has not
been done by the candidate himself/herself, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled.
10. The Acknowledgment slip (which is part of the OMR Registration Form) will be detached at
the time of the submission of the form at the Pravesh Bhavan counter of the University and
will be returned to the applicant or his/her representative after stamping it.

Note : (a) The information in the OMR Registration Form should be filled by using black ballpoint
pen only.
(b) This form should be filled with utmost care and without any error. The applicant is advised
to practice filling of the 'form' on a photocopy of the OMR Registration Form first, then
check the errors (if any) and fill the original form correctly.
(c) Please preserve a photocopy of the completely and correctly filled-in OMR
Registration Form for future reference.
Column 1 : Test Desired- Blacken only one oval against the course you are eligible and interested in.
Note : For Globalization Dual Degree Pragramme Blacken it with the other courses.
Column 2 : Test Centre : Blacken only one oval among the test centres

Column 3 : Name of the Applicant : Write your name as it appears in your High School or
equivalent certificate, using CAPITAL LETTERS. Blacken the corresponding ovals.
Do not write Surname first . Leave one box blank between First and Middle name and
one between Middle and Surname in the same order. Do not use Mr. / Shri / Kumari /
Shrimati / Dr. / Ms. etc before the name. Firstly the applicant must ensure the number of
boxes required for writing the full name on a blank paper. Enough boxes have been
provided for the purpose. Yet the name may be condensed in the following manner. For

example, SACHIDANAND HIRANAND VATSYAYAN AGYEYA may be written
as SACHIDANAND H V AGYEYA.

Column 4: Date of Birth : Enter one digit in each box indicating the date, month and year of your birth.
If you are using a single digit, write 'Zero' before it. Blacken the corresponding ovals.
Column 5: Social Category : Blacken the corresponding oval representing your social category.
Reservation shall apply as per Central Government rule, for Candidates of Reserved
Category qualifying in General Merit shall be given seats of General Candidates. No
change in category shall be entertained after submission of OMR Registration Form.
Column 6: Annual Family Income : Blacken the oval of the applicable option i.e. less than 1 lac,
between 1-2 lacs and more than 2 lacs.
Column 7: (a) Qualifying Examination : Blacken the oval representing the name of the
Examination Board, which has conducted the qualifying examination, i.e.
intermediate or equivalent examination (10+2). In case, if the Examination Board
does not fall within the first three categories, blacken the category, 'OTHER'.
(b) Qualifying Examination Year : Write the year of the Qualifying Examination in
the boxes and blacken the corresponding ovals.
(c) Qualifying Examination Roll No. : Write the Roll no. of the qualifying
examination in the boxes and blacken the corresponding ovals.
(d) High School Roll No. : There are nine boxes one for each digit, if your Roll no. is
shorter than nine digits, prefix zero/zeros to make it a nine-digit number.

Column 8: Gender : Blacken the oval representing your gender.

and 3c of the "Abridged Admission Rules",

Note : For SC, ST and Physical Handicapped separate OMR Registration
Forms are available. If a candidate submits a Registration Form other than
his/her social category, his / her candidature shall be cancelled.

Column 10 : Father's Name : Fill in the complete name of your father in the boxes and blacken the
corresponding ovals as per the instruction given in Column 3.
Column 11: Mother's Name : Fill in the complete name of your mother in the boxes and blacken the
corresponding ovals as per the directions given at Column 3.
Column 12: Nationality : Blacken the appropriate oval whether (i) Foreigner (ii) Indian (iii) NRI
Column 13: If Minority Community :
Blacken the appropriate oval of the minority category to which you belong
(i) Buddhist (ii) Christian (iii) Jain (iv) Muslim (v) Parsi and (vi) Sikh
Column 14 : Blood-Group : Blacken the appropriate oval after confirming your blood group.
Column 15: Name and full mailing Address : The applicant should write in BLOCK letters (using
black ball point pen) his/her name, full postal address and also the pin code, where
he/she wants his/her admit card to be posted. The postal address should clearly bear
applicant's name, father/guardian's name. House no., Street no., Mohalla / Village / Tola,
Post Office, District and State. The scanned image of the address furnished by the
applicant will, as such, be used for generating the postal address.
Column 16: Photograph & Signature : Paste your recent clear colour photograph (3.4 x 4.5 cm),
bearing your name, in the box provided for this purpose (The applicant is advised to
get him-self/herself photographed by putting the name plate in front of him/her, so
that the photograph should bear the name of the applicant clearly). No attestation is
required on the photograph. It is to be noted that the same photograph shall be used on
the admit card and attendance sheet of the UGAT-2012 and also on other important
documents such as identity card, admit card of U.G. main examination, etc. after
admission. In no case the photograph shall be changed after admission to the course. Put
your signature in the specified box. This signature should match the signature of
applicant at the time o Admission Test. In case the two signature don't match, the
applicant to be debarred from the Test.
Column 17: Name and full Permanent Address: The applicant should write in BLOCK letters
(using black ball point pen) his/her name, full postal address and also the pin code,
where he/she wants his/her admit card to be posted. The postal address should clearly
bear applicant's name, father/guardian's name, House no., Street no., Mohalla / Village /
Tola, post Office, District and State. The scanned image of the address furnished by the
applicant will, as such, be used for generating the postal address.
Column 18: Declaration : Read the declaration and put your signature at appropriate place on the
other side of the OMR Registration From. Acknowledgment : The applicant must fill
the Acknowledgment slip by providing his/her name, Father's name, Test desired and
mailing address (As given in Column no. 15). This acknowledgment shall be detached
and be given back to the to the applicant after the University receives the filled-in OMR
Registration Form by hand.
How to submit the Form ?
1. After completing the OMR Registration Form the applicants should submit the same in prescribed

envelop at Pravesh Bhavan (Chatham Line), University of Allahabad between 24 March
and 25th April, 2012 up to 4.00 p.m. personally/or through representative and receive the
acknowledgment slip.
2. An eligible applicant desirous of applying for admission to more than one stream/faculty, shall be

required to fill separate Registration Form for each stream/faculty.
3. The applicant must submit each Registration Form in a separate envelop and superscribe the name
of the course applied for.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The University will accept OMR registration form by Postal -Registered or Speed Post

Admit Card :
Admit Card for all the valid applications received by the University will be processed and
enabled on the website www.auadmission.co.in. The Candidates can download their admit card from
the website after entering their OMR Application Number and date of birth in case of OMR
Registration and Application ID and Date of Birth in case of Online Registration. ALL Admit

Cards will be uploaded for all the valid applications by 8 May, 2012. University will not be
sending any admit card by post or distribute them from the counters.
Test Centres :
The Admission Test will be held at different centers in the city of Allahabad besides
Bareilly, Bhubanehwar, Bhopal, Delhi, Gorakhpur, Patna, and Varanasi. The name of the Test
Centers will be explicitly written on the Admit Card of the applicant and will not be changed in
any case. No traveling allowances will be paid to the applicant appearing in the Test. If the total
number of candidates for a particular centre is not sufficient then the university reserves the right
to cancel that centre and allocate the nearest centre to such candidates.
Test Schedule :
See the Examination scheme mentioned on the back cover page of the Brochure and also
the website www.auadmission.co.in.
Note : 1. Even if the day of the admission test is declared a Public holiday, the examination will be
held a per above schedule.
2. The applicant are advised to reach the Test Centre half an hour before the
commencement of the examination.
How to make entries in the Answer Sheet ?
1. All the entries of the Answer Sheet should be filled with black ball point pen only.
2. A specimen of Answer Sheet is given in this booklet. Against each Question No. there are four
ovals. Each oval has a letter a, b, c or d printed inside it. After reading a question carefully you
option should select the right option of the answer, then go to the Answer Sheet and blacken the
correct corresponding alphabet-bearing oval.

Each question, has only one correct option. In case, if more than one options are marked
by the applicant, answer will be treated as incorrect even if it contains the right option.
Would you like to answer the question on guess ?
Negative Marking :
The mode of deductable (negative) evaluation system is applicable. For every correct
answer 03 marks will be awarded, but for every wrong answer 01 marks will be deducted.
Therefore, the applicant are advised not to answer questions purely on guess. Be sure before replying a

question. If the candidate resorts to pure guess while answering the questions, there are fair chances that
the total score will be reduced.

The Admission Test will be of two hours duration. Every candidate has to answer 150 questions from
multiple choice questions. For every correct answer, 03 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer 01
mark will be deducted.

There will be 40 questions in each of the following four subjects : 1. Physics, 2. Chemistry, 3.

Chemistry and Biology. However, candidates, who have applied for B.Sc. (Home Science) may opt
any three subjects from these. Candidates who have applied for B.Sc. (Maths) & B.Sc. (Maths & Home
Science) have to select 120 questions from physics, Chemistry and mathematics and those who have
applied for & B.Sc. (Bio + Home Science) have to select 120 questions from physics, chemistry and
biology.
(C) B.Com. Admission Test (Intermediate Level)

Abridged Admission Rules


For details please see the B.A., B.Sc., B.Sc. (Home Science), B.Com., B.F.A., B.P.E. and
Globalization Dual Degree Programme Admission Test Ordinances and Regulations (In case of any
controversy, the English version of the brochure will be accepted):
1. All candidates seeking admission to B.A., B.Sc., B.Sc. (Home Science), B.Com. B.F.A., B.P.E.
and Globalization Dual Degree Programme Part I class have to appear in the Admission Test for
that subject combination/stream.
2. The foreign national who, having passed the qualifying examination has applied through the
Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India is
exempted from the Admission Test. Such a candidate may be admitted to a course of study on the
recommendations of the Foreign Student Advisory Board of the University. The nominated

candidate must apply before the completion of admission process otherwise his/her candidature
shall not be considered.
3. The following proportion of the approved seats in each subject-course will be reserved for
candidates belonging to scheduled castes (SC) category, the scheduled Tribes (ST) Category and
other backward classes (OBCs).
(a) For candidates belonging to SC category : 15%
(b) For candidates belonging to ST category : 7.5%
(c) For candidates belonging to OBCs category : 27% for the session -2012-13 as per
THE CENTRAL EDUCATION INSTITUTION (Reservation in Admission) ACT, 2006
and also as per the letter of the Ministry of the Human Resource Development regarding
implementation of Reservation in Admission in respect of persons belonging to Socially and
Educationally Backward Classes (OBCs).
(d) Physically Handicapped : 3% (1% Hearing impaired, 1% visually
impaired, 1% Orthopaedic disability)
(e) University Employees / Teachers : As per University Admission Rule.
4. There shall be separate merit lists for General (i.e. unreserved category), Other Backward Classes,
Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Physically Handicapped candidates.
5. Weightage / Premium Awarded on the Test Score : Due weightage / premium shall be awarded
on the Test Score of an applicant only when such a claim has been made in the OMR Registration
Form. Applicant will be entitled to have only one of the following weightage / premiums.
(a) 5% premium to an applicant who holds the NCC 'B' and 10% premium to an applicant who
holds NCC 'C' Certificate.
(b) Weightage as per Central Government norms for the year 2011 shall be given to Kashmiri
migrants.
6. The candidature of outstanding sports person shall be determined on the recommendation of the
Athletic Association, based on the standards decided by the Association. Such candidates
however, must appear in the Admission Test.
7. A premium/weightage or special consideration may be granted only when the candidate has made
such a claim in the Registration Form and presents the required documents and certificates at the
time of admission. The order of merit for admission shall be determined on the basis of computed
marks of the candidate as under. Computed Marks = Candidate' Test Score + Weightage /
Premium (if any).
8. If two or more candidates obtain the same computed total marks, their relative merit for the
purpose of admission and/or allotment of subject(s) shall be determined on the following basis:
(a) In accordance of the marks obtained by the candidates in the Intermediate or equivalent
examination.
(b) In case the marks obtained by the both the candidates in the Intermediate or equivalent
examinations are equal then the marks obtained by then in the High School or equivalent
examination will be taken into account.
(c) In case the marks obtained by the two candidates in the High School or equivalent
examination are also equal then the decision will be taken by a draw of lottery.
Test Results
(i) The results of UGAT-2012 will be announced by 15th June, 2012
(ii) The results can be seen on the university website www.auadmission.co.in, local news
papers and notice board of Pravesh Bhawan.

Counseling and Admission Process
1. Admissions will take place from 20 June, 2012 by the process of 'Counseling'. The details of
information regarding the counseling will be published in local newspaper, and will also be
available on University website www.allduniv.ac.in and www.auadmission.co.in. No
information regarding 'Counseling' will be given to the candidate individually, and no enquiries in
this regard will be entertained.
2. The purpose of 'Counseling' is to help provide information regarding the availability of
combination/seats in accordance to the merit.
3. The counseling and admission will be done separately and simultaneously in University and its
Constituent Colleges.
4. The candidates will be required to present themselves in person for the counseling and
admission/alotment of subjects combination on the date, time and place already announced. If a
candidate fails to present himself on such date and time, or he fails to bring required
documents/fees etc. he/she will forfeit his/her claim of admission to the particular
course/combination of subject and the candidate next in merit will be accommodated against such
seat/combination of subjects.

(a) High school or equivalent examination mark-sheet and certificate in original along with a photo-copy
thereof.
(b) Intermediate or equivalent examination mark-sheet and Certificate in original alongwith a photo-copy

Affidavit duly attested by a Notary/Public Commissioner for private candidates at the Qualifying
Examination.
(d) Original Test Admit Card issued by the University/original and photocopy of the Exemption Letter issued
by the Co-ordinator UGAT 2012.
(e) Admission fee in cash to be deposited at the time of admission in the respective units (see, Annexure 5).
(f) Additional documents to be produced by the candidates claiming weightage / premium/special
consideration :
i. For SC/ST and OBC candidates governed by Rule 3(a), 3(b) and 3(c) : Caste certificate in original
and a photocopy thereof,
ii. For the applicants governed by Rule 3(d): Original and a photocopy of the certificate of Physical
Disability (Visual, Hearing, Orthopaedic) issued by the Chief Medical Officer of District Hospital or
by the Viklang Kendra, Allahabad and candidates will be required to appear before a Board of
Doctors to assess the intensity of disability/challenge . On a date and place given by the Dean
Students Welfare.
iii. For the applicants governed by Rule 5(a): Original and a photocopy of the NCC 'B', NCC 'C'

Admission of students to the four years Degree Course of the B.F.A
1. Admission to the first year class of four year Degree Course of Bachelor of Fine Arts, shall be made on the basis of result
of an Entrance Test held for admission to this Course. Provided that a candidate for admission must have passed the
Intermediate Examination of U.P Board of Secondary Education, Allahabad or any other examination recognized by the
University of Allahabad equivalent there to.
2. The intake capacity : 62 only
3. Reservation will be made according to the rules of central University of Allahabad
4. Rules for weightage:
(i) Students will be entitled to the weightage only if they secure at the qualifying examination the minimum percentage of
marks prescribed for admission.
(ii) No weightage will be given to the candidate who have failed to secure the minimum qualifying marks.
Admission Rules for first year Degree Course (B.F.A)
(A) Candidate seeking admission to the first year of the four year Degree course in Painting, Sculpture or Applied Arts
should mention the subjects of his/her choice in order of performance for the respective course.
(B) Candidates shall have to pass the prescribed Entrance Test of the University before they are admitted.
The Entrance Test as per given below for admission to four year Degree Course in B.F.A
The Duration of the Test will be one day, One theory paper and two practical examination:

2. Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) 2012


Eligibility criteria for BPE Admission
1. The candidates must have passed or appeared with minimum 40% Marks (relaxation for SC/ST as per rules).
2. Candidate must not be more than 21 years old on 1st July of the academic session in the running year admission, these may
be relaxed upto 25 years in case of qualified in service permanent teacher of physical education and SC/ST candidate.
3. Candidate will be given credit for sports, NCC & NSS.

B. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 100 Marks
1. 50 Mtr. Run
2. Standing Broad Jump
3. Shuttle Run (4X10Mtr.)
4. Two Hand Overhead Medicine Ball Throw
Note: Physical efficiently test common for all courses. The short listed candidate should wear proper sports dress (T-shirt, Shorts /
Skrit / Vest-shirt / Track Suit with proper shoes and socks) during Physical Efficiency Test failing which they may not be allowed in test.

Procedure: Undergraduate admissions are done through U.G. Entrance Test conducted by the University. The students
having offered Music as subject in Intermediate or equivalent degree diploma are being admitted for undergraduate classes in the
department of Music.

4. Bachelor-cum-D. Phil in Globalization and Development Studies


(Dual Degree Programme) (Seven Year Programme)
Admission:
Total no of seats: 20 (twenty). The eligibility criterion for admission in the programme is 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of
50 per cent at higher secondary/intermediate level from a recognized Board/Institution. Admission would be done through Common
Entrance Test for under graduation, conducted by University of Allahabad. Those interested in admission should appear either in B.A.
or B.Sc. or B.Com. Entrance Test of the University of Allahabad depending upon the stream in which they have opted for in the
Intermediate Examination. Only those who secure more than 55% marks in the Entrance Test would be considered for admission in
this programme, provided they have filled the option for this programme in the application form.
