Using the appropriate technology varies according to situations and participants. Essential Questions: What are the obstacles a person faces with online group collaboration? In what ways can technology enhance group collaboration? How does the choice of Web 2.0 tools affect the final project? Educators will know The benefits and challenges of online group collaboration. The uses of specific technology and skills to facilitate online group collaboration. The benefits of selecting appropriate Educators will be able to Access various online Web 2.0 tools. Select appropriate Web 2.0 tools for specific situations. Explain why a certain Web 2.0 tool works for them.
World. (Ideally, I would have one book per student; instead, they shared my one copy) 10. Supply various links to sites to assist with selecting 20 Web 2.0 tools. 11. Divide class into pre-selected groups to work together on their choice of one collaboration tool. They may create whatever they decide. 12. Discuss reactions and experiences with online group collaboration as they experienced it. 13. Show screencast tutorial for LiveBinders then build example as a class. 14. Upon completion of LiveBinders, have teachers begin building their own individual LiveBinder with their chosen Web 2.0 collaboration tools. 15. Teachers present their LiveBinders, explaining why they chose the Web 2.0 tools to include in binder. 16. Have class complete self-assessment rubric. 17. Follow-up with self-reflection then share with class.
