Total Grant Request = $1495.00 Strawberry Park Elementary School pledged to support 2012 Green Shanny Foundation Grant and provide 10% contribution of project cost. Total projected cost of The SPE Green and Growing Project = $1665.00 Project dates 8/2012 = Begin implementation of GREENR.org within curriculum 9/2012 = Set up recycling containers in appropriate library media center location 8/2012 5/2012 = Ongoing integration of GREENR.org within curriculum supported by print resources (flyers, posters, etc.,), guest speakers, and contests. Application for Environmental Leadership Program and Go Green Award.

The SPE Green and Growing Project expects 100% self-sustainment beginning with school-year 2013 2014 and continuing into future school-years. The Green Shanny Foundation Grant would allow the SPE school library media center to begin integration and implementation of sustainability and green energy with new, larger recycling containers, a one-year subscription to GREENR.org, production of print resources (flyers, posters, etc.), guest speakers, contests, and application fees to Environmental Leadership Program and National Green Ribbon Award Program
