Your Target At the end of this activity, you will be competent I appraising the effectiveness display boards as learning

resources. Your Map Display board, or what we more commonly refer to as bulletin board, is one of the most readily available and versatile learning resources. To reach your target, follow the boards below: Your Tools As you look around and examine board displays, use the activity forms provided for you to document your observations. OBSERVATION REPORT Name of the School: Iligan City East High School- Hinaplanon Observed: Bulletin Board Location of the School: Hinaplanon, Iligan City Date of Visit: July 20,2011

There was only one bulletin board in the school where we visited. It is found in front of their flag pole, where the students usually do their flag raising ceremony. The display in the board was all about the activities they are going to do during their nutrition month celebration and for the buwan ng wika. They used creep papers and formed it like a flower and roll it around the board. Small tarpaulins were also posted in the bulletin board. The messages were clearly stated in the bulletin board. But the writings on the board were too small and cant be seen in a distance. From among the board displays that you saw, pick the one that you got most interested in. Recall your past experiences in making board displays. How do you practice the skills? Artistic- I was a member of the an art organization during my year level before. I, together with my group mates usually given a tasked to design our bulletin board and if ever there were programs held in our school. But we dont mind the contents of it only the design so that the students will look at and read what is on the board. 3. Which skill do you need to develop? Reflect on how you can improve on or acquire these skills. I think I need develop my thinking skills when it comes to organizing the content of the article or announcement displayed on the board. I must research more about the ideas I will post on the board so that students will be attracted as well as understand whats on the board.
