Ellen provided information about ELL and MSP accommodation plans. Each principal will get an emailed file with ELL MSP accommodations. If students have services waved, they are not part of the accomodations.

The preferred option of the assessment office is to take the easyCBM assessment online for all students, including primary Grades (Kindergarten too). The principals agreed to start this spring with all online testing. Next year, kindergarten easyCBM testing will occur in October.

Dr. Jack is willing to come to schools to train staff on MSP testing and proctor training. If you would like online training tools or proctor training.

hiCap letters are going out soon to parents with results. The appeal process will also be under way soon.

The DIMIC procedures have been finalized and will be on the website in Both the Board policy and the teaching and learning siteS.

The state of Washington is now looking at the effectiveness of LAP on student achievement. More information about this will be coming soon. The purpose is to correlate funding with achievement. The State of Washington has also applied for a waiver for no child left behind. If accepted, there will be some major changes coming to education in Washington, including staTe determined accountability indexes. Principals will begin a PLC focused around Core Reading Instructioin.

Lori Longo will be collecting information about how we teach the water cycle, and units of scientific studies involving water. The purpose is to avoid paying a new tax. The tax can be waived by proving we teach students about water and the water cycle.
