Client

Tara and Bradley Cooper ages 25 and 27 are living in the Boston, New York Area. Tara is an
architect and Bradley is a dentist. They have twins named Max and Nicole who are 2 years old,
neither with any special needs or disabilities. They also have one cat and one dog. Tara does not
have any hobbies due to the fact she is always working. Bradleys hobbies are cooking for his
wife, caring for his son and daughter, and taking long walks on the beach.

UniversalDesign

In this home I included as many universal design ideas as I could. Each of the doors is at least 36
inches wide, and there are no halls through the home really. There are no step stairs

ConstraintandExceptions

In this habitat for humanity house we had to meet some specific criteria with a few exceptions.
This 3 bedroom house could be no bigger than 1070 square feet; each one of the three rooms also
had to be a minimum of 70 square feet to be considered livable. Each door of the house is 36 in
wide or larger to meet the requirement and all hallways were a minimum of 42 inches wide. This
three bedroom house has a total of 1 and a half bathrooms for the criteria, along with a 52 gallon
water heater for the house.

ArchitecturalStyle

The architectural of this house was chosen by the client. They chose a modern style home which
was very easy. I added a sloped rood with a 1 foot overhang. Open space in the home with lots of
windows. Due to time I did not include any gables or dormers, and stuck with a traditional roof
line.

Q Post - Q Pre=
.3086 ft/second - .312 ft/second= -.0034 ft/second

There was a water run-off improvement due to the Q-post development being less (.3086
ft/second) than the original Q-post development (.312 ft/second). Through this there was a
negative difference of (-.0034 ft/second) taking into account the run-off of the lawn, sidewalk,
and house and how it improved the rain water run-off of the land.
