Discussion
Briefly Explain About Advantages & Disadvantages Of Vibration With Practical Applications. Vibration. Vibration refers to mechanical oscillations about an equilibrium point. The oscillations may be periodic such
as the motion of a pendulum or random such as the movement of a tire on a gravel road. Vibration is occasionally "desirable". For example the motion of a tuning fork, the reed in a woodwind instrument or harmonica, or the cone of a loudspeaker is desirable vibration, necessary for the correct functioning of the various devices. Sometime, vibration is undesirable, wasting energy and creating unwanted and creating unwanted sound noise. For example, the vibrational motions of engines, electric motors etc in operating are typically unwanted.

Vibration are not limited only to machinery but it can be cause sever damage to buildings and outdoor structures. Vibration cause by earthquakes, aerodynamic forces induced by wind flow, explosions etc can be disastrous. However there are several cases where vibrations are useful . Vibrator-separator machines, mobile phone, packing machines, mechanized hammers are some of the other applications of vibrations. Hence, many advantages & disadvantages have been with practical applications. Advantages of Vibration with practical applications. Oil Field Vibration System A resonant vibration system for use in oil field tubular extraction applications consists of three basic components:a mechanical oscillator with suspension system for isolating the rig structure, a work string for transmitting vibrational energy, and a stuck member or fish to be recovered.
Illustrates these components in a well setting. The eccentric weight mechanical oscillator generates an axial sinusoidal force that acts on the work string to create axial vibration and the vibrating work string transmits and delivers power developed at the oscillator to a region where the stuck member is located. The vibrational energy received at the stuck area works to effect the release of the stuck member through the application of large percussive forces, fluidization of granular material, dilation and contraction of

Vibratory Finishing Machines Vibratory finishing machines are specially designed rubber lined bowl. This products have three component mechanical vibrations that are vertical & horizontal. These can be tuned independently to suit for the optimum finish of parts. In this machine, the main concept is vibration .

Vibratory Separators

Vibration Feeder Vibration Feeders are designed to move large volumes of bulk materials at either fixed or variable feed rates. The long stroke and the low frequency of these feeders make them ideal for handling a variety of materials such as coal, coke, rock, sand, and chemicals in sizes from large lumps to fine grains. The feeder typically uses the vibratory action developed by a motor driven eccentric shaft and two-mass coil springs. The drive is able to skip over any resonant frequencies that may occur in surrounding equipment by using the Jump Frequency Function.
