    All these information about the Minoans comes from Thucydides writings about the Aegean basin named Minoa. The Minoan civilization flourished from 1900 B.C.E. until the middle of the second millennium B.C.E. The Minoans may have been decedents of the Neolithic culture Known as Cycladic that dominated in the Aegean. They trades a wide variety of goods which gave them power in the Aegean Sea area. The Minoans inherited this trade culture and the maritime skills mastered by the Cycladic Aegean during the Stone Age.
