Humans have limited capabilities. Humans sense the world in a restricted way. Can we use technology to upgrade humans?

The paper emphasizes on the use of the cyborgs to make the lives happy.

Introduction Definition Overview Types of Cyborgs Fictional Behavior Cyborg proliferation in society Advantages Disadvantages

Kevin Warwick has taken the first steps on this path In the years ahead we will witness machines with an Intelligence more powerful than that of humans

It will be a robot dominated world with dire consequences for humankind

A Cyborg is a Cybernetic Organism, human part machine. The cybernetic pioneer Professor Kevin Warwick, the world's leading expert in Cybernetics is upgrading the human body - starting with himself

According to some definitions of the term, the metaphysical and physical attachments humanity has with even the most basic technologies have already made them cyborgs In a typical example, a human fitted with a heart pacemaker or an insulin pump (if the person has diabetes)

INDIVIDUAL CYBORGS "cyborg" is used to refer to a man or woman with bionic or robotic implants. Today, the C-LEG system is used to replace human legs that were amputated because of injury or illness

SOCIAL CYBORGS

More broadly, the full term "cybernetic organism is used to describe larger networks of communication and control

A corporation can be considered as an artificial intelligence that makes use of replaceable human components to function

CYBORG PROLIFERATION IN THE SOCIETY

Medicine Military Marine cyborgs Sports Steroids Blood Doping Prosthesis

Medicine
In medicine, there are two important and different types of cyborgs:

Restorative technologies

Enhanced technologies

Military
The "Cyborg soldier" often refers to a soldier whose weapon and survival systems are integrated into the self, creating a human-machine interface. Military organizations' research has recently focused on the utilization of cyborg animals for inter-species relationships for the purposes of a supposed a tactical advantage

Marine cyborgs
The term cyborg not only applies to the humans, but to animals as well.

Some of the best examples of such animal cyborgs come from the ocean, but such research is relatively new.

Sports
The cybrogization of the sports has come to the forefront of the national conscious in recent years

Steroids
The most commonly used steroid in sports is anabolic steroids Anabolic steroids increase the amount of testosterone in the body, which promotes the muscle and bone growth in the body

Blood Doping
Blood doping usually refers to three forms of adding red blood cells to the blood stream The first form of blood doping is called homologous transfusions Second form of blood doping is done through the injection of a hormone called erythropoietin, Another form of blood doping is autologous. Autologous transfusions

Prosthesis
The most common forms of prosthesis and enhancements we see in the sports today are

 TOMMY JOHN surgery PROSTHETIC legs

Advantages: Prolongs life Enables one to lead a normal life Gives a part of the body back Improves the quality of life Disadvantages: Training is needed for doctors They are all expensive Psychological problems Feeling different to everyone else The risk of rejection/infection Pain during operation.

The idea is that, in the future, we may have more and more artificial body parts arms, legs, hearts, eyes and so on

till one might end up finally as a brain in a wholly artificial body
