Its very interesting the Watchtower claims if Jehovahs Witnesses read the Bible exclusively without Watchtower materials, they can become an apostate. The Watchtower states "From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such 'Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..." The Watchtower, August 15, 1981, p. 29 What exactly are apostate doctrines of Christendom according to the Watchtower? Here they are: Jesus Christ is God Jesus Christ is worshipped including singing and giving glory to Him Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior Jesus resurrected bodily Confessing your sins to Jesus and accepting Him into your daily life The Holy Spirit is God Salvation is a gift and we are not saved by works alone The physical return of Jesus to earth All who confesses Jesus as Lord and becomes a new creature in Christ will go to heaven not just 144,000 people

Questions To Jehovah Witnesses Dont you think is interesting that if you read the bible exclusively without the influence of Watchtower publications you will believe the doctrines above? Did the Watchtower exist during the early church that only had the Bible? If the early church did not have Watchtower publications and only read the Bible exclusively, then didnt the members believe the doctrines above?
