Re:Eme and Mongols

THE SERIOUSNESS IN OUR OWN BACK YARD REMEMBER, WITH HIGH TECH ELECTRONICS From: www.rob-profile.com UPDATED December 10, 2008 BELOW: Posted on December 01, 2004 at 23:18:01: In Reply to LA EME OR MEXICAN MAFIA IP:66.53.54.64 I saw it. Well according to the report the Mongols started to recruit people that were members of gangs from southern CA. They had one member of the Mongols telling a reporter that it was a mistake recruiting gang members because they took old rivalries with them. Mongols started getting killed by gang members, with a lot of those gang members having ties with La Eme or Mexican Mafia. When Eme found out that Mongols had gang members in their club they wanted them to pay a percentage of the drug money they make to Eme, which many gangs (ORGANIZED CRIME) do. The Mongols did not want to pay anything, so Eme put the GREEN LIGHT on them, which means that Eme members and gangs connected to them are expected to attack and kill Mongols when ever they see them. Eme has already killed Mongols as a message. The Mongol talking to the reporter says Eme has to kill them all before they pay up. I can't say how much of it is true because I don't know much about Eme or Mongols. I know that Eme putting a group, gang, club, or person on greenlight is very serious. Some one from East Side Longos told me about it, put that was like 3 years ago ------ CONTINUED.

MONGOLS VS. EME: DAVID MAY GET HIS ASS KICKED BY GOLIATH A large number of LA readers have emailed asking if I saw CHRIS BLATCHFORD'S two-part story on the battle between the Mongols and the Eme on FOX 11 NEWS. Yes I did. A number of these emails asked me what I thought about the story. I'm pleased that the IN THE HAT audience is as interested in the subject and as eager to learn as I am. While I consider myself more of an ardent student than an expert, I'm rather humbled to be asked my opinion on this situation. First off, Blatchford did a very good job. I'm also amazed that FOX 11 gave him enough airtime to tell the story as thoroughly as he did. While I don't know Blatchford, from his past coverage of criminal organizations and crime issues, I get the sense he's extremely dialed in and has terrific sources. He seems to have more than an academic interest in the subject. For out of town readers, here's the outline. The Mongols is a motorcycle gang based in SOCAL with chapters all over the country. They're the UN-Cola, a slightly different flavor for people who don't like the taste of the original -Hell's Angels. As the world witnessed in LAUGHLIN, NEVADA two years ago, the Angels and Mongols get along about as well as the Palestinians and the Israelis. The LAUGHLIN battle put three soldiers in the cemetery and a bunch more in the hospital. While the Angels have predominantly been a white group, the Mongols have an open enrollment policy that offers membership to Hispanics. According to the FOX 11 piece, (and it seems to line up pretty well with what I found out) the Mongols have been heavily recruiting among SOCAL neighborhoods. Essentially, a lot of the new members are SURENOS with their cultural roots deep in the neighborhoods. Rather than seeing themselves as traditional outlaw bikers and iron horse iconoclasts, these new members could be better described as Leather Homies. In fact, as the FOX 11 story reported, some of these new members don't own bikes and don't even know how to ride.

When they put on the leathers, they didn't necessarily divest themselves of certain "allegiances" and cultural modalities. They took the Sureno culture with them. So they basically fly both flags -- the screaming skull and the Black Hand. There's a saying about a house divided against itself. What probably happened, and this is speculation, is that once there was a critical mass of Sureno membership within the Mongol organization, the brothers perceived the entire organization as merely another set in the larger Sureno universe. And as Surenos, the natural order of things is that they should get in line with the rest and begin to pay tribute. Apparently, it hasn't worked out that way. The Mongols have officially refused to pay taxes. In response, the Eme issued one of its famous Green lights on the Mongols. Bodies have fallen on both sides and it looks like a low intensity shooting war has broken out. The truth is, the Mongols didn't pick this fight. It looks like the fight came to them. Just as it came to MS, Maravilla and other tax-resister gangs (Organizations). If this were a horse race, the smart money would be on the Brothers (Brothers = loose term on both sides). In terms of sheer numbers, organization, intelligence gathering and horsepower in prison, the Brothers are in complete control. Any Sureno with a strap and some heart are now free to pop a Mongol anywhere, anytime and be assured of earning a stripe. SOCAL Mongol membership right now is reported to be around (unknown number.) When you consider that a SINGLE Sureno neighborhood like Avenues can muster 800 men at arms, 600 for El Sereno, and equally large numbers in neighborhoods like Florencia, CVTF, VNE, RSP, San Fer, Pacas -- well, you get the idea. Think of a sledgehammer hitting a flea. This is not to imply that Mongols don't have heart and aren't willing to get grimy (STUPIDITY) - But the numbers facing the Mongols are just staggering.

Anonymous said... MONGOLS SHOULD STAND THEIR GROUND AS MARAVILLA HAS Anonymous said... There is a little bit more of history behind all this beef so here it goes: the Mongols started in the pen way back in the sixties before the EME was around the thing is that this was an early model for the prison gang. In time though the EME had come into the scene and kind of eclipsed the Mongols after that it was widely known as a biker gang that had Hispanic origins as far as what proof there is to all this. Just talk to any older veterano that did time in the late sixties and early seventies you will also see how some of the older Homies from that era have the Mongol tattooed on them. (There are other stories and claims as well).

NOVEMBER 21, 2008: Federal authorities arrested 61 members of the Southern California-based Mongol Motorcycle Club, including several Inland residents, on federal racketeering charges that authorities said Tuesday will halt the gang's criminal enterprises.

The government also is attempting to seize the motorcycle gang's trademarked name, featured on the patch that its 500 to 600 members wear on their jackets. U.S. Attorney Thomas P. O'Brien said it is the first time the government has taken such a step. "We have filed papers seeking a court order that will prevent gang members from using or displaying the name 'Mongols,' " O'Brien said.

If the request is granted, law enforcement officers could stop any Mongol wearing the patch, which features a muscular, sunglasses-wearing biker, bald except for a ponytail. "If local law enforcement sees that symbol they can literally take the jacket right off his back," O'Brien said. In the Inland area, local authorities and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives served search warrants at homes in Redlands, Perris, San Jacinto, Corona and Ontario resulting in the seizure of weapons, clothing and paraphernalia. At least 17 Mongols members of Inland chapters were listed in the indictment and face charges including attempted murder and drug trafficking. The 86-count federal indictment targeted 79 gang members in seven states, as well as 10 members already in custody. The arrests come after a three-year investigation during which four male ATF agents infiltrated the gang and were formally admitted last year after passing lie detector tests. Four female agents also worked undercover on the investigation. The racketeering indictment accuses the motorcycle gang of profiting from a criminal enterprise and violent intimidation. The indictment includes federal murder, hate crime, drug trafficking, money laundering and battery charges. During a Los Angeles news conference to announce the raid, ATF and U.S. Attorney's Office officials lined a narrow downtown street with several dozen confiscated motorcycles decked with Mongols jackets. "This may be the biggest, most significant bust we've ever made," said ATF National Acting Director Michael Sullivan. "This shows how violent this gang was. I say was, because we've taken down this operation from top to bottom. This has more than disrupted this gang -- we've put a stake through the heart of the Mongols." Inland Conflicts Two Inland conflicts involving the Mongols are included in the 177-page indictment. Six Mongols are charged with a shooting at a 2005 Toys for Tots charity drive in Norco that injured three people, including a Norco firefighter. The Mongols opened fire after a fistfight with rival Hells Angels members attending the event at the Maverick Steakhouse. Alex Lozano, president of the Mongols' San Bernardino chapter, and members Manuel Armandarez, Rafael Lozano, Ricardo Gutierrez, Andres Rodriguez and Mario Angulo all are charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting, the document states. Other gang members are charged with causing a riot at a 2002 Ultimate Fighting Match at the Morongo Casino in Cabazon, where people were attacked with knives and chairs as Mongols members began kicking victims with steel-toed boots.

Among those arrested Tuesday was Mongols President Ruben Cavazos. In June this year, he claimed that police were infringing on the Mongols' social organization by arresting several members after they nearly shut down Interstate 15 by performing stunts en route to a rally in San Diego. O'Brien said the evidence compiled in the indictment is proof that the gang is not a social club. "Any social organization willing to use violence poses a significant threat," O'Brien said. "These charges of drug trafficking, murder and mayhem clearly show this is not a recreational club." Morning Raids ATF agents served search warrants at several Inland locations beginning at 5 a.m. Tuesday. At Rafael Lozano's Orange Street home in Redlands, ATF agents broke down a deadbolted door. Agents ransacked the house and said they recovered a gun, ammunition, Mongol clothing and paraphernalia. Lozano had a "Say No to Drugs" sticker on his front door and a sticker of a Redlands police badge. A security camera monitored his front porch as a new Mercedes and a Ford Shelby Cobra sat in the driveway. Lozano had no prior criminal charges in Riverside or San Bernardino counties, other than driving violations. He is charged in the Norco shooting and with methamphetamine sales as part of the Mongols gang. The raids also hit Los Angeles, Washington, Colorado, Florida and Nevada. In the Los Angeles and Inland areas, authorities seized seven pounds of methamphetamine, about 70 motorcycles and about 71 weapons. The Mongols organization was created in Montebello during the 1970s after Hispanics were excluded from the Hells Angels gang, the indictment states. The club now boasts chapters in Canada, Mexico and Italy on its Web site. Mongols members sell methamphetamine and cocaine to raise money to pay dues to the gang leadership, the indictment states. In exchange, they receive protection from a violent feud with the Mexican Mafia and other criminal street gangs, the indictment states. Mongols award a special skull-and-bones patch to members who commit murders or shootings to increase their status in the club, according to an ATF affidavit. All 71 men arrested were expected to be arraigned in Los Angeles Federal Court and will proceed to a jury trial in their next court proceedings, U.S. Attorney's office spokesman Thom Mrozek said.

October 23, 2008 POST:

LOS ANGELES - A federal judge on Wednesday barred the Mongols motorcycle gang from wearing or distributing its trademarked logo after authorities arrested dozens of its members under a racketeering indictment.

U.S. District Court Judge Florence-Marie Cooper granted an injunction requested by prosecutors that prohibits gang members, their family members and associates from wearing, licensing, selling or distributing the logo. "If a Mongol is wearing a vest or jacket bearing the Mongols patch, that item is pursuant to seizure based on this order," said Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven Welk. It is believed to be the first case in the nation in which the government has sought to take control of a gang's identity - via its logo - through a court order. "I've never heard the government going after something like this in this context," said David Welkowitz, a law professor at Whittier Law School. Welkowitz said he's received e-mails from attorneys and academics who specialize in trademark law and are interested to see if the order will stand. COMMENT: THE GOVERNMENT IS TAKING THIS PROCEDURE BECAUSE THESE ORGANIZATIONS ARE AN EXTREME DANGER AND LIABILITY TO OUR SOCIETY JUST WHAT THIS REPORT IS ABOUT. (WITH SATELLITE SURVEILLANCE CONNECTIONS) THE ORDER SHOULD STAND AND AT THE VERY LEAST, THE AWARENESS IS IMPORTANT TO ALL.

10-20-08 BY: Jessica Murphy Canada - Resurgence in biker-linked crimes raises fears of another gang war in Quebec.

SOREL-TRACY, Que. - A string of biker-related crimes in the province in the past week are bringing back painful memories for Quebecers of the biker wars of the 1990s. On Saturday night, a tanker truck slammed into the Hells Angels' bunker in the Quebec town of Sorel-Tracy, creating an inferno that gutted the building and led to the evacuation of nearby homes. Firefighters were still on the scene of the wreckage Sunday evening. Two other suspicious fires burned in the town the same night. Last week, about 1,000 kilograms of explosives were reported stolen from a site in the St. Lawrence region. On Oct. 17, 08 - 200 kilograms of explosives were found in a Montreal apartment a block away from Quebec provincial police headquarters. THE SITUATIONS GO ON AND ON BE AWARE!

DENVER -- All 14 people wanted in the Denver Mongol motorcycle case are now in custody. On Thursday, the last remaining fugitive, Steven Gonzales, 40, of Denver, surrendered at a bail bonds facility to agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives. The 14 members arrested in Colorado are among more than 60 members of the Southern California-based Mongol Motorcycle Club who were arrested under a federal racketeering indictment. The indictment included charges of murder, attempted murder, assault, as well as gun and drug violations, said ATF spokesman Mike Hoffman. The Mongols are primarily Latino and formed because the Hells Angels refused to allow Hispanic members
