My assets are as under: Debtors : 20
lakh, Stock : 30 lakhs, Cash : 10
Lakhs, B.R. : 40 Lakh. I have 40
lakhs of current liabilities including
creditors, etc. What is my MPBF?

 MPBF = maximum permissible bank financing for

working capital.
 Total Current Asset = 100 Lakh
 Total Current liability = 40 lakh
 Working capital Gap = 60 lakh
 From long term sources = 25% of 60 = 15 lakhs.
 MPBF = 60 – 15 = 45 Lakhs answer.

I don’t have a systematic record of
my assets and liability. But I know
that my annual sales are Rs. 2 lakhs.
What is my MPBF?
 Since I don’t have a systematic record,
Bank will take 20% of sales as MPBF
and will give working capital loan of Rs.
40,000 to me.

should I take from bank and how?
 As we can see that my MPBF is 45 Lakhs, so I
should take Cash Credit Loan of Rs. 45 Lakhs
(CC account). My total current assets are 100
lakhs,of this I am taking 45 Lakhs as CC, 40 lakhs
as C.L. and 15 lakhs as WCTL (working capital
term loan) / my capital (preferred) . Answer.

I want to buy a new machine of Rs.
3.6 lakhs. Life = 5 years. Annual
profit after depreciation = 68000 Tax
rate 40%. my discount rate is now
12%, but due to inflation, it will
increase by 1% every year. Should I
buy the machine?

 Dep. = 3.6/5 = 72000 p.a.

 Cash inflow: 68000 – 27200+72000

 =112800. Now I have to get its present

value. Total PV is 383369. thus I should
invest in the project.
