Hi, I have checked your solutions, they are very clear and precise!

I would like to give you some advises.

1. The interval for error term, strictly speaking, is an open interval. (But I know that it is not a
big problem and even we are used to write it as closed interval.)

2. For question 3(b), it is better to calculate t = ln first before discussing y > 0 for all t.
2 3
Since, theoretically, once x = 0 , the differential equation of y will be changed.
Of course the above is not a must, as we can see that even x = 0, no one can kill y so that y
is a constant forever.
3. From my understanding of the question, I think that the writer request us to compare their
rejecting rules and see whether they are different.
So, my solution is, based on n = 16:
* Councillor’s rule in rejecting null hypothesis: X > 820 (given)
50 50
* The one of assistant: X > 800 + 1.96 [or X < 800 − 1.96 ]
16 16
X > 824.5
So they are different.

I am not sure whether I am correct or not, pls contact me if I made any mistake.
