A F F I D A V I T of EXPLANATION I, JOAN G. CASTILLO, of legal age, Filipino citizen, married to Cheryl Marie G. Castillo, with residence and postal address at No. 236 Carantes Compound, Montecillo Road, Camp 7, Baguio City, after being duly sworn to in accordance with law, depose and say, that:

1. My spouse is currently applying for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal

Skilled worker class;

2. In support of our application, I hereby certify that I previously worked as a

Purchaser of Ernesto L. Gatuz & Family Enterprises, Inc., a domestic corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the Philippines, with principal place of business at Barangay Biday, San Fernando City, La Union, Philippines;

3. From April 1994 to November 1995, I worked as a Purchases of Ernesto L. Gatuz

& Family Enterprises, Inc., which was then known as ELG Enterprises;

4. During the time of my employment, ELG Enterprises was still a sole proprietorship
and is owned and operated by Mr. Ernesto L. Gatuz.

5. Considering that the owner of ELG Enterprises is my uncle, my employment is

merely verbal and not covered by a written contract of employment.

6. As proof that I have worked as Purchaser of ELG Enterprises, attached herewith

is a copy of my Certificate of Employment issued by Ernesto L. Gatuz & Family Enterprises, Inc., which is hereto attached as ANNEX A and is made an integral part hereof; 7. I hereby agree to be liable and answerable to perjury and or falsification of public document in the event that any of my statement is found not in order;

8. I am executing this affidavit to attest to the truth and veracity of all the foregoing
statements and to support our application with the Canadian Embassy and for all legal intent and purposes. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this 5th day of May 2010, at Baguio City, Philippines.
