AMENDMENT #2: Right to Keep and Bear Arms Distinguish between the individual right theory and the collective right theory on this amendment. Where do you stand and why? Individual rights Individual rights in the United States are generally defined as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Liberty is often defined as freedom to do what is morally right, so you might have liberty, but that doesn't mean you may go steal something.

Collective rights Rights held by a group rather than by its members separately, or rights held only by individuals within the specified group

Where do you stand and why-

AMENDMENT #3: Quartering Troops Why is this amendment sometimes called the forgotten amendment? Should it be? Why? Because it was of importance only when the Bill of Rights was being drafted. It shouldnt be forgotten because it would hold some value in our society. HENCE, the founding fathers put it in the constitution for a reason. Why is it called the forgotten amendment Because it was only important at the time the Bill of Rights was being drafted.

AMENDMENT #7: Right to a Civil Jury

What is the difference between a civil and criminal trial? Can juries in civil trials be fair? Can they be arbitrary? Why was this right included in the first ten amendments?

Criminal trial o Criminal cases will have jail time as a potential punishment Civil trial o civil cases generally only result in monetary damages or orders to do or not do something Can juries in civil trials be fair o Criminal cases almost always allow for a trial by jury. Civil cases do allow juries in some instances, but many civil cases will be decided by a judge. Can they be arbitrary-
