Dear Ms. Vesna Puhovski, Over the past year I have been fortunate enough to learn more about your beautiful country and its history. This summer I met with President Josipovic to discuss the issue of landmines in Croatia a problem I first learned about ten years ago during a trip to Cambodia. Visiting with those wounded by landmines, I learned about the unseen threats people can continue to face years after war has ended. Peace education is key to promoting a stable, democratic society. And the Forum for Freedom in Education's efforts to educate young people how to resolve conflicts without violence is of critical importance to build lasting peace. Although unable to attend your conference on The Key to Peace in Kastav, Croatia on October 7, 2011, I am inspired by your activities in furtherance of education and peace in Croatia and would like to make a donation to support your work educating children.
