Entering Supervisor Mode

To go from In-Service mode to Supervisor mode all that is required on some ATMs is that the cabinet or safe door be opened. On other ATMs, the mode switch on the operator panel must be transferred to the Supervisor position. The mode switch is shown in the illustration, below, of a 56XX ATM Basic Operator Panel

Operational Status Messages

We cover clearing the State of Health Messages

State of Health Messages 56XX ATMs have the ability to check the status of the modules within the ATM and report on them with text messages. These messages will name the device as well as indicate the module within that device that requires attention. The State of Health reporting system maintains counters on consumable items with the ATM (such as printer ribbons, depository print heads) and will produce a message to inform the operator when the consumable needs to be replenished

Operationally they all function in the same manner but many of the components are different between the different versions. The easiest way to identify which version you may have is to look at the following components: Enhance Presenter The Enhance presenter will not have a motor driver board and the transport sensor boards will only have the LED or photodetector on it. The ribbon cable running from the dispenser control board to the pick interface board is a 40-pin cable. Motor drive board Transport sensors Pick modules ribbon cable
