Scalar versus Vectors

What are scalar quantities?

• These are quantities which can be
described by magnitude alone (e.g.:
Temperature, speed, distance).

What about vector quantities?

• These are quantities which are described
with both magnitude and direction (e.g.:
velocity, displacement, force).
