Reinventing Education Through E-Learning: La Consolacion College Manilas E-Learning Experience1

Abstract This paper is an appraisal of the initial impact of e-Learning in La Consolacion College Manila (LCCM). The paper claims that E-Learning is dramatically transforming the Schools teaching-and-learning process being an integral part of the Schools improvement and reform efforts. It narrates the experiences of the school in instituting which it describes as more keen in using technology to reinforce classroom-based learning. It also tackles the constraints that it faced during the early phase of its integration as well as the great promises it hopes to bring in enabling the teacher and the learner to be more productive and competitive in coping with the dynamics and the complex demands of the Knowledge Society.

This paper was presented in the 2005 Association of Southeast Asia Institutes of Higher Learning (ASAIHL) Research Seminar held at University Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darrussalam.
