For a Bus trip to Heidelberg, Germany, for the HIWC 37th Annual Volksmarch http://www.hiwc.de/
Heidelberg is a German city situated in the south-west of the country. The fifth largest city of the German State of Baden-Wrttemberg after Stuttgart, Mannheim, Karlsruhe and Freiburg im Breisgau. Between 600,000 and 200,000 years ago, the "Heidelberg Man" died at nearby Mauer. His jaw bone was discovered in 1907; with scientific dating, his remains were determined to be the earliest evidence of human life in Europe. Date: Saturday, 24 September 2011 Departure: 08:00 - Outside of Patch, down at the dealership corner Look for a very large bus. 10:00 - Expected arrival time in Heidelberg. 10:05 - 10:15 - Pickup/Issuance of Start Cards, please remain on the bus until you have a Start Card. This year they have 5, 11, and 22 km trails. The 22 km will pass by the Heidelberg Castle. 15:00 - Depart the start hall area enroute to the Old Town and Heidelberg Castle. 17:00 - Depart Heidelberg, enroute to Stuttgart What you will need to bring: Euros for shopping and eating (and a tip for the driver) Comfortable shoes for walking and appropriate clothing. Many folks bring their own water; drinks are available for purchase on the bus Therell be food at the start hall both before and after the walk, but you might want to bring some snacks Camera Cost for the bus trip: 18 which includes the 1.50 for the Start Card, with IVV stamp. 3.80 for prize (beer mug), start card with IVV stamp. If you desire the beer mug return your start card and pay the additional 2.30.
