What is Computer Virus

A computer virus is a program that can copy itself and infect a computer without permission or knowledge of the user

History
Pakistani Brain Virus (1986): boot sector virus called (c)Brain, created in 1986 by two brothers, Basit and Amjad Farooq Alvi, operating out of Lahore, Pakistan Apple Virus 1 (1981): Boot sector infecting virus. Possibly created for pirated games. Animal (1975) (Univac): Guess an animal game.
