We are recruiting freshers for IT helpdesk / Tech support Voice based for our Bangalore office. APPTI TOPICS: Age, Ratio, Speed, Directions, Average, Time & Work, Profit & Loss, Percentage.. campus interview of iGATE Global Solutions held at B.V.B.college ,Hubli(Karnataka Eligibility criteria for us: 60% aggregate in B.E. All subjects to be cleared in 1st attempt.There were 5 rounds. 1. Aptitude test-50Q in 30 min. Questions r easy. We can easily answer 37-40 questions in 30min if u r fast enough. Remaining 10-12 questions, I could not read. I just marked them randomly after the question paper was taken back. Some questions were too easy, some were from R.S.Agarwal, and last 15Q were english comprehension questions which take a lot of time. Read them only if u have time atlast. Don't leave any question unmarked. No negative marking. The cut-off i think was 36-38 out of 50. 2. Technical written test-20 Q in 12 min. 12 minutes r more than enough. Questions were on Operating systems, Unix, Electronics(Abbreviations of TTL,CMOS,etc.,). 70% of the questions were repeated from the old campus papers. Go thro' the previous papers of iGATE. I think the cut-off was 15 or 16 out of 20. 3. Group discussion. There were groups of 9 students each. We were given the option 2 select the topic by ourselves. It was cool. Don't talk too much or too little. Enter into the discussion atleast 4-5 times. Don't do personal attacks. Don't get aggressive, Don't shout. Be a good listener also and let others talk. My topic was-"Who r more happier? We or our ancestors" 4-5 were selected from each group. 4.Technical & HR interview. Tecnical for me as I am an E&E student, was fully C,C++ and microprocessors. The interviewers were cool. For CS students, they asked about OS,VHDL, C,C++,etc., Be perfect in whatever subject u r given to choose. HR int fully on whatever u have written in ur resume & the company form provided 2 u. More importance on ur projects & paper presentations if any. Be perfect Be self-confident. U can do ,If u think u can.

There were 15 questions to be solved in 30min. No rough sheet was provided. Also no negative marking, but no options were given. that is u have to solve the questions and write the answer, no guess work possible. Cut off was 9 or 10 i think. They selectd very few for the second round. Outof 1,700 they selected only 170 for GD (2nd round). They made group of 10/11 for GD, and selected approximately 60 students for third/technical round. Final round ws HR..Finally they selected only 30. But for Apti prepare general topics like Avg, profitloss, time asd distance, time and work, si, ci, partnership, clocks, calender, probability, series, pipes and cisterns, reasoing, number, hcf, lcm, permutaion and combinations. Either refer R.S Agarwal or Pearson guide By Dinesh Khattar is more than enough. 21st NOVEMBER AT COCHIN Questions were not that tough but point was to save time. Next Round Was GD Made group of 10/11. In some they selected 4 members. But in many they selected only 1 or 2 per group. In min they seleced only two including me. Topic was simple. they wanted every1 to talk. Also they made every1 to talk.So the topics were simple. But always allow others to speak.U should speak well and up to the point, but at the same time u should allow others to speak.Donot make it a fish market. A Part from communication they also want to check that whether u can work in team or not? Some topics 1) saddam should be hanged or not? 2) Pepsi should be banned or not? 3) mobiles vs landlines 4) house wife vs working 5) inda's poor performances in cricket Next was techncial 1. 1 )Two trains at speed 60 km/hr comes in the opposite direction. At a particular time the distance between the two trains is 18km. A shuttle flies between the trains at the speed of 80 km/hr. At the time the two trains crashes what is the distance traveled by shuttle?
