CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT MELISSA L. PERMAR


Chief Master Sergeant Melissa L. PerMar is the Security Forces Manager for 791st Missile Security Forces Squadron, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. She advises the commander on all matters concerning enlisted personnel, including assignments, training, employment and readiness. She is the focal point and mentor for developing leadership and professionalism in the enlisted ranks through guidance and training in all facets of military bearing, behavior and justice. She oversees 296 enlisted, officer and civilian members charged with safeguarding 150 Minuteman III Missiles across 8,500 square miles of North Dakota prairie. Chief Master Sergeant PerMar initially enlisted in the Air Force in July 1989 as a Security Specialist. She has served for 22 years in various Security Forces duties at eight installations and nine assignments, to include a special duty position within CEPME; she returned to the career field in February 2005. Chief Master Sergeant PerMar is divorced with no children. Her family resides in Longwood, Naples, and Eustis, Florida.
