WARNINGFTHE CORRECT DEVICES OPERATING WAIT AT LEAST 3 SECONDS BETWEEN EACH POWER-OFF AND POWER-ON. Before installing and using the metering, please read carefully the using and operating instructions.

POWER- ON Before powering on the device, please perform all the foreseen connections. Some meterings parts are connected to the net tension. The wiring and the up keeping have to be carried out by powering off the metering. The non-observance of it may cause death risk. Please make sure that there is no accidental connection. Please make sure that the systems net tension in which the metering is wired is in full conformity with the labels data (nominal values) before installing it. Please respect the meterings ambient conditions and its electrical data. The meterings installing and up keeping have to be carried out by skilled staff. In case of doubt about the meterings safety, please do not use it and replace it. PROTECTION Please make sure that all the accessible metallic parts, which can become live in the event of an insulation fault are permanently and reliably connected to the devices earthling terminal. Also please make sure that the machines earthling terminal is connected to an efficient earthling protection. EXTERNAL COMPONENTS The insertion of external components on the board, necessary to ensure an adequate reduction of the interference, shouldnt have to affect the devices safety, i.e. they have to be of adequate type and value. COMPONENTS In case of necessity, we reserve the right to substitute the used components with other manufacturers components, having the same electrical data and standards.

Page 2

SOFTWARE In case of necessity we reserve the right to partially change the described procedures during the softwares engineering phase, to allow an easier or more successful usage of the device or a more coherent development of the software, without modifying the devices functional aspects.

INSTALLING

INSTRUCTIONS

AND

USING

LIMITS

WIRING The boards wiring has to be performed considering the necessity of keeping the low-tension cables separated from the high tension ones. Please pay particular attention to the LCD displays connecting cable positioning. Any cable length should be the shortest possible to enable a correct connection. If necessary, screened cables should be preferred. The device has to be placed far from other equipment, like pumps, solenoid valves, remote-control switches, motors in general, neon lamps, as their functioning could affect the electromagnetic ambient. AMBIENT The device has to be placed as far as possible from heating sources and from excessive humidity, or where there might be, for any reason, any condensation forming. DIRT The board inside the machine has to be adequately protected against dirt. As per definition "in general, the interior of an appliance having a reasonably dust-proof enclosure is considered to be protected against deposition of dirt" (EN 60335-1). REMOTE- CONTROL SWITCHES If external remote-control switch is used for a loading command, the connection of RC filters (or a different device) could be necessary to suppress the interference issued during the loading switching. SUPPRESSORS In case remote-control switches and/or solenoid valves are used, it may be useful to place a varistor on their coil to limit tension peaks, which may arise during switching over. The worst the boards operating ambient is protected against humidity, high temperature and dirt (dust, dust soaked with other substances, condensation), the most important this solution is. NET FILTER In order to meet the requirements concerning the electromagnetic compatibility, it may be necessary to outfit the device with a net filter outside the board. In this case, some basic rules have to be complied with for its installation: - the filter (if it is provided with a metallic body) has to be mounted on the devices metallic frame with an electric connection having a very low impedance ground wards. - it must be mounted as tight as possible to the net cable inlet point, with short and well-distanced inlet and outlet connections, to avoid coupling of interference among net, loading and equipment. If the filter is mounted without following these indications, it can partially or completely lose its efficacy. LOADINGS PROTECTION Please make sure that the loadings are protected against short-circuit by means of external devices. PERFORMANCES The boards ideal performances can be obtained at room temperature of about 25C. At higher or lower temperatures the precision and heat dissipance performances tend to worsen. Anyway, it is better to remain within the temperature range defined in the electrical data. To avoid definitive damaging of some components, please remain within the 070C range. STORAGE Do not leave the meterings stored in humid places. Do not leave them directly exposed to sunrays or atmospheric agents. In case of accidental falls, always check the systems correct functioning.
