All this looks like progress,but is it ? well ,wait a minute.the carpets were hung out and beaten once a week,but today s vaccum cleaner must be used everyday.clothes and bedclothes were washed,much less ofen.they had to be done by hand,but it is so easy to put them into the washing-machine that far more ironing look,so the modern housewife ,armed with all these expensive machines, is just as busy as her sister in a traditional home
